Anybody running 35s with factory rear air on a 3500? I ordered one and it's on its way, but the more I look into it the more worried I am about finding aftermarket lift/level equipment that support the feature. I don't need anything huge, I just want to be able to run 35s and match the stance of my leveled 15 2500. Another dealer has the exact same truck minus the air suspension en route, which I'm seriously considering.

You mean “air bags” in the rear...?

No, they offer a full rear air suspension system for the 2500.

Well, you will fit 35’s fine, but trucks with air suspension sit lower in the back than the coil spring trucks.

They basically come level, but level with the front instead of lifting the front to level with the back.

Ugh, that's what I was afraid of.

Still leaf springs, supplemented by bags.

The 3500 probably still has a decent factory rake.

My dually sets level with the air suspension. The leafs are lighter with air option so no rake.

Interesting

My 3500 ( no air) has over 2” of rake. Takes well over a couple thousand pounds to even get it to level out.

How is rake measured? I've got 3500 with factory rear air.
I've got 40.5" ground to rear fenderwell, 37" ground to front fenderwell.

Took some height measurements today to see how well the factory air keeps things leveled. Unloaded the rear fender is 41.25" at the center of the axle. With a 4800lb truck camper in the bed it drops to 40" and in alt trailer height it drops to 39.25".

So basically minimal rake change with load.
