37" tires on a Rebel

I've seen things here and there about Rebel's running 37" tires, but everyone who is doing it seems to have done a 6" lift. What is the minimum lift necessary for 37" tires to fit without rubbing?

Lots of us have 37s on 1500. I did it with a 4" and a 1.5" BL.
