I just tripped over 190K miles and I knew it was time.
I was consuming 2-1/2 to 3 qts of oil between oil changes and there were no leaks.
It started in the mornings with a nice little blue puff of smoke that went away quickly during warmup.
I had bad spark plug detonation and valve pinging from 3000 rpm to about 4500 rpm under mid throttle.
There was oil in the intake you could see when you opened the throttle body and looked in with a flashlight.
I was getting fuel mileage around 11.5 to 12.5 mpg in a truck that used to average 15-16 in the same conditions.
What I have seen in the first 2 tanks of gas, about 50 gallons, my average is now 14.7
It is hard to start when cold. (below 60) HA HA I love Florida...
It used to start the second you hit the key. It really ran better when cold before the plenum kit.
It feels noticeably stronger between 2500 and 4000 rpm's when pulling hard through second gear.
