Ok guys since it looks like converting to a 6.1 is gonna be a huge headache. Now getting ideas to build the 5.7. What direction would ya all go. This will be a complete rebuild...... thank you all for posting

Just posted that stuff and put out there for an idea. Last time I did engines, was from a 67 396 to a 70 327, many moons ago...Things were just simpler back then...

Alright my opinion, I would do a a forged piston/ rod combo with a 6.1 crank. A nice lil cam an turbo it. Lots stroke to 392 I kinda would like to keep it close to stock displacement. then figure out another trans option since the 545 is ****. So figure a good 10k for my maybe 7k truck lol
