Yes, Magnusson-Moss act but if it's a tranny pan mod and the tranny fails, it will be very difficult for me to fight that case. The catch 22 is that at some point a new tranny and labor is worth more than the truck, which the warranty won't cover. They pay out the value of the truck but I'm sure it's closer to an auction value than dealer value.
Used ones don’t cost that much. 20 seconds on marketplace and I barely had to scroll.IMG_4129.png

If you don’t like the $300 for a pan, you can always gamble on Amazon.

I went ahead and snagged a deep sump PPE pan off Amazon. It was cheaper than the OEM plastic pan, go figure. They also had 7 quarts of fluid for $110 which is not terrible. I already have 6 or so. If something happens I can always put the old OEM pan back on and replace the fluid. Definitely don't want to have to replace my own tranny after having spent $2300 on the warranty. The pan will not be the toughest thing I've done on a vehicle.

Wasn't terrible but definitely not fun. I was in hex/allen key mode after messing with the drain and fill plugs and was using a hex bit on the pan bolts. Doh, they are torx. Can't see well up close these days and had a wide metal oil drip pan under the middle of the truck preventing me from looking closely. One is above the exhaust and would have needed to use an allen key on it anyway. I got them off and got the fluid out without staining the driveway.

Also made the mistake of adding some fluid to the pan before installing it. That thing is a beast. Minor spills but not a whole lot. Had to persuade the shallow end of the pan to go between the case and the exhaust crossover. To seat the filter snout I finger tightened a few bolts to align things and whacked the bottom of the pan a few times. It was a tight fit.

Thank the Lord for my Chicom 12V fluid pump. It has saved my bacon several times. Took about 5 quarts before it overflowed with engine off. Filling with the engine running and heat/smoke coming off the exhaust would have royally sucked with a hand pump. Cheap kit from eBay. Took another 2 quarts of fluid after putting it in reverse and forward. About 7.5 quarts total for the PPE deep sump pan.

A true crock of p_oo-p!!!
The dealership is lazy and complacent, and no fluid is ever "lifetime" ;)

It is very important, especially if you plan on keeping your rig, to change the transmission fluid and filter.

If you're handy, it's really not a difficult thing to undertake yourself.
If not, then ensure you get the correct parts and take it to a very trusted technician to do it.

Only use MOPAR or Valvoline MaxLife trans fluid, and only MOPAR filter kit, or the upgrade PPE transmission pan with their replaceable filters.

This would also be a very good opportunity for you to install the @caulk04 transmission cooler bypass valve upgrade as well.

This mod is 100% trusted and supported by the collective here on our forum. I myself have purchased about 8 of them so far for my and family/friends vehicles.

This upgrade drops the transmission temps by up to 30deg/c, and the engine temps by 3 to 5 deg/c as well.

However, one MUST follow the prescribed fluid/filter change procedure to a "T", period!!!
This is crucial to ensuing the fluid level is 100% correct.

These transmissions DO NOT like it when they aren't filled properly ;)
