Today I hauled 6750 lbs of rock .
I was using a rented hydraulic dump trailer that weighs a bit over 3,000 lbs , on the biggest load I had 4,500 lbs of rock , so about 7,500 lbs total weight .
My truck 2014 Ram 4x4 1500 5.7L & 6 speed auto 65RFE Xsmn , 355 differentials , I do have the Mag-Hytec extra capacity xsmn pan (approx +1.5- 2 qts) filled with Redline C+ATF .
I'm in NE TENNESSEE , pretty hilly , my normal driving no load my xsmn oil temps on a 85-90° day is about 130-140° , today pulling the load of about 7,500 lbs for about 40 miles my xsmn oil temp while stopped got as high as 167° , but while driving & utilizing the oil cooler with Ram air the temps were just above normal @ 145 - 150 ish ° , not bad imo .
FYI when I was stopped at road construction for about 10 mins the temp went from 150° to 167° while I was in park ....I shifted to neutral in an attempt to get the fluid moving to cool it off , but it didn't drop at all ( 2 mins approx) , I then shifted to Drive , and the temp dropped pretty quickly to 160°
I didn't get a picture of the highest temps , but here's one I did take .
And a few other pics as well .
The truck pulled the 7,500 lb load like a champ , even up a couple decent uphill grades ..very happy with it , but I do wish I had 410 -456 diffs .
