So i finally pulled the trigger on a lift kit for my ram. The 7" front 4.5"rear kit from MaxTrac with Fox 2.0 Shocks all around. I just want to say thank you to Nick@GotExhaust for all of his help throughout the process of me picking a kit, him helping with compatibility questions and pricing, etc. Great guy and super helpful and extremely patient.

Now, i already know that i am going to pick up a set of the MaxTrac Upper Control Arms, but i was wondering what other supporting mods to the suspension you guys would recommend for a 2012 Ram with 90k miles on it. Anything i should be replacing during this install since my truck has some miles on it and its 9 years old now?

Looking for direct suggestions for specific parts, or manufacturers. Thanks.

I personally would look into the core 4x4 rear upper and lower control arms as well as the end links and panhard ....

But directly for the maxtrac lift the UCAs from Maxtrac will be a nice addition for sure ...

Ask who ever is installing your lift to see if they can add a 1" front coil spacer since you are getting the UCAs for the front ... that will help with any unwanted rake or sagging in the front with time .... Ask them if they think the geometry will be good ... they can see if it is of course and if it's not you can always leave it out ...the spacer is from daystar ...

I am assuming because of the companys name, the parts are for the 4wd rams? Mine is the 2wd

Definitely look into Core 4x4 tier 3 5-link system.

Yea i have the 2wd, not sure if they offer a kit for them or not.

Ok, ill look into that. It already comes with the 1.5" coil spacer so if its not enough, i can always go to 2" or 2.5"

They will work for 2wd. We can help you out with them as well.

What is nice about them is they will eliminate wheel hop and make the rear feel much more planted and in control.

Mine came with the 1.5” and it sagged 2” would level you and 2.5” will give u 1/2” rake which I did but could be different on yours . I always have crap in the bed tools or whatever that’s why I did 2.5” so when it settles

Mine didn't sag in the rear at all ... never heard of them sagging in the rear only the front do to the weight of the engine which is actually expected but not almost 2" which is what mine has ...

No .... it fits both 4x4 and 2wd trucks which is the best part of it all ..

And like Nick said , it will eliminate wheel hop big time ...I only got the lower control arms in the rear and the wheel hop I had before is gone .... and they look B@D@$$ too

Well, I think we can all agree, none of us want to look at a “saggy rear” every day [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Definitely sagging a little bit in the rear, but I also have 400 pounds or more in the bed with the wheels and old suspension. Hoping once I remove the stuff in the bed later today and the suspension settles over the next few days that it will look more even. If not I will have to look into adding an inch to 1.5 in the rear.
