Hello,

First post here, I know NFG hate incoming! I’m posting this in the 4th gen because I have a 2019 2500 so it’s technically a 4.5 gen.

Anyways I have an 8.4 nav system non amplified. I added subs and amplified my door speakers using a pac CH41 unit. It’s been working great for 6 months roughly and then the heat gets here and no I have no sound. Somehow I think the switched from amplifier mode to non amplifier mode.

I was able to warranty the pac unit to make sure that was a no question issue. This morning I checked the fuse in the harness and it’s good.

I took the aftermarket harness out and plugged the factory harness back into the computer module and the rear speakers work just not the front channels. And it’s really loud.

I’ve done the two sleep cycles pac claims works a couple times and no luck.

Any input from anyone here? I hope it’s not the computer behind the dash display.

Is there a fuse in the added on amp, or a inline fuse to that, I would start there.
my 2014 has the factory sub under the rear seat, so I m not sure what you are using to power the sub you added? start with a meter and check power feeds.
Over heat will kill amps , you need to have air around them if you are using lots of power= heat.
I use to work on this stuff many moons ago, remember 8 tracks .
but hard to fix stuff in my arm chair. I have no info on a CH41 amp.

Well the ch41 is how I got RCA’s for my amps, like a line converter but better so I don’t lose Canbus connections. I have two kicker square subs with a 1200w kicker amp and 360.4 kicker amp to my door speakers.

I had to do a “sleep mode” on it when I installed everything for the factory stereo to switch to amplifier mode so I could get clean flat signals for the amps.
