96 5.9 tansmission rebuild

I am going to rebuild my transmission. My buddy tells me this is a simple rebuild. Is that so?

I appreciate any advice I can get.

Are you sure it needs rebuilding??
Quite often re model transmission just need valve body work or a band replacement or adjustment. Limp mode makes them act like they are going bad. Unless you have experienced in transmission then no it's not easy.
