A bit off-topic, but still engine-related...

So, I've (finally) begun servicing my Mountaineer so that I can take the Ram out of service so I can tend to it's needs.

Now, the main thing the Mountaineer needed is new spark plugs. First of all, these are by FAR the worst plugs that I have ever removed from an engine. The ground electrodes were all half burned off and the insulator completely shattered on the first one I removed. With a bit of clever fanangling (big -1 to Ford for spark plug placement...) I was able to replace 6 of 8.

Yes, 6 of 8. 2 plugs on the passenger side don't want to come out. Now, when I stuck my spark plug socket on them, I noticed that they started spinning extremely (in other words, too) easily. After about a million spins on the ratchet, they are still "stuck" in the heads. A bit at a loss here...

tl;dr/off-topic, spark plug spins, but will not back out of the head. What does this mean?

That means you'll have to get a puller tool for the ford modular engine

Man, I don't know what's worse...the fact that you have to "pull" the spark plugs or the fact that they make a tool to do just that. I thought it was only the Triton engines that had spark plug issues, LOL.

Tritons are the ones with the issue. None of the others in the Modular family have that issue lol.
