So as some of you know, I've been fighting this on and off for the past month or so. The A/C drain is not draining where it needs to be.

I've tried cleaning it out to no avail, I get plenty of air out the hole which tells me it's not stopped up but here's what it's doing: When the HVAC is running, it will not drip out the drain.....it drains into the cab. When it's off, it runs right out the drain.

WTF? Anyone have any insight here?

Man I fought that for a long time until finally I put like a foot of 5/8in heater hose hanging off the drain and it finally stopped the influx of water. I honestly thought that it was a two piece drain and maybe o-ring went bad but it is one piece all the way through the fire wall right?

It is one piece, as I found out when pulling the box on a 99 Ram last week.
So you're saying you fixed yours by eliminating air going into it?

I'll take some pics of it tomorrow, but pretty much yeah I mean if the drain is located way away from the firewall then water shouldn't get in right? I've basically brought the drain a foot away from the firewall so there is no chance of water leaking back in around the drain.

Yeah, that sounds about like what I've got going. I've got some hose in my box. I'll see if i can do it tomorrow.
I know that's a problem on Chevys and the factory fix was to install a rubber elbow on the drain. :laughing1:
