Well, I'm at an impass with my install. This is in a 2011 Reg Cab Express with the no frills no nav no touch screen radio.

Originally, I was going to just use my rear speakers for the high level line in to my Apline amplifier. It seems that the rear speakers are crossed (when I fade 100% to the rear, I lose almost all bass).

I'm not afraid of finding the wires that go to the door speakers (appear to have full bass) and tapping them.
But I'm wondering now. Can I tap into them for the amp while still using the factory speakers? (IE solder on to the wires)

My other thought was to get a 6 channel LOC (AudioControl LC7i)
And then buy 4 channel amplifier and get some Bi-Ampable components for the front.

It's more than I wanted to spend for now, but what in life isn't. Opinions?

ABSOLUTELY you can tap into the front door wires while using the speakers. The LOC presents hardly any additional load as its impedance is far higher than the speakers your deck is powering.

Would I be able to just tap these for the "speaker level' inputs of my Amplifier if I didn't run a LOC?

That was kind of my thought. Wasn't sure.
Thanks my Canadian neighbor.
