replacing the front and all 4 door speakers. Quad cab with the uconnect 3.0 just base radio. Will i lose bass over stock speakers. Looking at either kicker 40cs6934 in all 4 doors or alpine spr-69 which will fit without spacers in the front or do the alpines in the front and kicker in the rear doors. Doing kicker ks35 up front. Again will i lose bass by just replacing speakers and not HU? Thanks. Also heard that the blaupunkts that crutchfield says fit my truck sound good based on the reviews.

if you want more bass, stay away from the 3-way & 4-way speakers, stick with just woofers or 2-way, they will give more bass.

i used kicker CS series speakers for my truck, originally had the same 3.0 radio as you do and am a quad cab. i used the 6.5" in the front doors and a 6x9 in the rear doors. they sound so much better then the stock speakers and i actually get some decent bass response out of the rear 6x9's, it wont hit you like a real subwoofer will but is better then stock. i do find the 3.5's on the dash are a little bright/harsh so i am in the process of swapping those out for a speaker without a tweeter.

if i were you i would do the 4 door speakers with a 6.5 on the front and a 6x9 on the rear and see how it sounds to you, then decide if you want to try out the dash speakers.

If you are going to run an amp I would suggest Hybrid Audio Technologies Imagine 6x9 as they can be ran with the tweeter on them or you can move it up into the dash position and have some of the cleanest sounding 6x9's out there.

Im not wanting a lot of bass i may or may not add a sub in the future. I just want a little more loudness, cleaner highs and a little more bass that won't distort that sounds good. Not looking for everyone else to hear me.
