I have a 2013 Laramie with Air Suspension, and have to replace the factory air struts for the second time.
My options are:
1- Try to replace the air struts with Rebel's spec, since I heard it could be but it ride higher and would be more robust than the Laramie's one.
2- Gut out the whole system (compressor, hoses, etc...) and replace them with normal shocks and springs.

Is there a normal shocks and springs that give a comparable comfortable ride to the air suspension?
Does anyone know how to gut out the whole Air Suspension system?

Ride comfort is Subjective but going with quality coilovers and rear coil springs will be the best option. Air suspension just keeps getting more expensive as you continue to replace the components. I recommend to my customers spend the money and replace the air suspension with a quality spring suspension system

Thanks. I'm also more inclined into using spring suspension.
But how would I silent the air suspension service alarm? I already removed the fuse/relay, but it still pops up on my dash.
I was thinking about removing and gutting out the whole system, but I'm not sure what I'd be looking at or for to be removed.

Does anybody know what the nitrogen tank pressure should be at normal ride height. Thinking it would be nice to check it and if it drops a little to me get it refilled to avoid the major job of vacuuming it/full recharge and recalibration once it draws in moisture rich air.

I thought the compressor should charge the tank automatically.

They don’t come with nitrogen you have to do that aftermarket which will just delay the fact that it’s going to fail you at the worst time possible

As I understand it they come charged with N2 and stay untill it gets depleted and then draws in ambient air to maintain pressure.

Really depends the system. 4 corner air, like in my Rebel is absolutely a nitrogen based system. Purge proceedure is vent to atmosphere, charge, repeat 3x.

Mine is the 4 corner. Had it freeze up until they vacuumed it/ purged it and then had to run the calibration because they discharged it completely. Was thinking if I just got the tank recharged periodically it would be cheaper than going through all that. Also installing a better air dryer on the intake couldn't hurt.

Charge at ride height is 175psi. It's not just a matter of charging the tank tho. Need to purge system via Ram's diag tool, this is done 3 times, dilutes the "air" enough. Fill valve is behind right rear fender well liner.

Just had my system purged so the moisture is out and it worked even at -30. Just thinking if I keep it at 175psi if that's correct then it will not draw in air again so next winter I won't have to repeat the whole process. I'm thinking if I monitor the pressure and top it up if it drops I can avoid the 3hr job and just pay for some nitrogen.
