First time on the forum. So here we go, I have 2016 sport with air suspension and shocker, I’m having problems. We figured out the problems, a bag had leak and in result to that it burned up a compressor. 4 grand to fix it, so I decided to go with a delete instead. But I was wondering if a lift kit would work the same as a conversion kit?

Did that 4 grand include all new bags or just one and a compressor? You got 7 years out of it, seems like you did better than some!

I did not lift mine other than putting Rancho quick lifts in front to level the truck. Most people are getting "kits" but I opted to piecemeal mine with parts off Rockauto. I put on HD variable rate springs in the back with 35% increased load, Gabriel monotube rear shocks in back and Rancho quicklifts (coil/strut assembly) in the front. All in the parts were bascially $830 and then $120 to have it aligned after. Took less than a day and I'm very happy with it. With 150K on the odometer, I saw no reason to spend more on Bilstiens which evertyone rave about. I will probably keep the truck another year at the most and don't need it to handle like an F1 car at 200 MPH. Certainly not a dis on anyone putting better parts on their trucks but definately not required. Just saying there are cheaper options than the kits out there.

All you would need to make sure you have in a lift kit is the rear isolator and you can buy that separately if it did not come with it. I would suggest getting leveling struts for the front. I made the mistake of going with just a delete kit and a few months later i ordered 2" leveling struts for the front as the rake was driving me nuts

When my air suspension goes out I plan to get an entire Eibach shock/spring replacement or the Ironman Foam cell 4x4 kit depending on my needs.

Mine went out, and now im stuck in desperation mode, Im going to probably go with the Ironman Stage 2, I already have the isolators, but possibly going to “rent” the module from Airdelete.com to shut off the message! Ironman should be coming in the next couple of weeks, and ill be off to Overland Expo West

Awesome! What springs did you plan to order with the Ironman stage 2 kit? I think you can delete the error codes if you have an alfaobd.

I ended up going with the medium
Load up front, and the medium load in the rear, they do not have the heavy duty in stock as of now, the rest of my delivery come tomorrow, so Thursday i will have my UCA’s and sway bar link connected, as of now i left the rear in offroad 2 and put it in tire jack mode!

A lift kit for a 4CAS setup relies on the original air system to be functional.

@AzCats besides monroe sending me the incorrect coil isolators, and me having to drive 2 hours to get some from a dealer, the rear went on in about 30 mins, i opted to cut my fender liners right up to where the springs and shocks sit(i found it easier, and why not show off that purty green!) now im deciding if i search the interwebs for a lightweight 37, or just stick with a 35

I'm looking at doing basically this same thing to my truck. Seems like it's better to go this route than start chasing down problems with the air ride. How is the set up going with what you have? Are you happy with how the suspension feels while driving? Do you by any chance have any part numbers with what you decided to go with? Is there anything you wish you would have done different with the parts you decided to use? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!
