The 1724 looks exactly the same. It has the same tabs in all sides and is the same color.

You know what, you just might be right. In the email I received from GGG she said pad 1724 being the one needed for a Ram. So if the rain/light sensor lens (1724) mounts directly to the windshield, we have a match.

Looks like you guys might have something.

I have access to the sensor and my harness is already there so if you guys figure out the part number and they will sell or provide distribution info I would be willing to try. Some will not sell direct and installers like pilkington have been a paid for small things in the past. Looks like either way the have a pretty decent list of distributors. Also looks like GBR 1892 might match the humidity sensor cover the I was supplied. Would have to get some measurements to confirm.

I'm in NY, we're packed in like sardines and there are STILL no salvage 4th Gens rams in the surrounding three counties. :(

I have customer who owns a Salvage yard, located between us, I always ask him if he has any 4th gens, he just laughs at me. Said 4th gens are like unicorns, even if he finds one, there is a guy in VT that comes in and usually buys the whole this from him.

Looking at the pictures, not sure I see where or how GBR 1892 attaches?

What I am guessing it has a gel mat as well. The humidity sensor may clip in and the cover snaps onto the mat. Right now I used clear thin double sided tape and the cover provided by benny has black silicone dabbed on all for corners holding it to windshield.

Looking at Chach's pic here...

IMG_20181031_171947.jpg

I definitely looks like it matches the GGS 1724 kit here.. (Purple base against windshield with tabs extending out top and bottom)
Rain-GGS1724KIT.jpg

And what I am assuming is this pad (gel mat) here, which the rep actually said "I show we offer the pad only for the a 2016 Ram pickup but it does not specify for the 1500. It is our part GGS 1724 PAD. You would have to reuse the sensor but replace the pad. If this works for you let me know and I can give you the website of a company where you can purchase this online."

Rain-GGS1724PAD.jpg
I'm assuming the pad is clear and the red portion is a peel off to protect.

When looking at Chach's pic above, I'm trying to figure out where the other part (GBR 1892) would fit in?
Bracket-GBR1892.jpg
It doesn't match the foot print of the above GGS 1724. Unless it is underneath somehow?

Originally I thought the sensor 68149325AC, part number confirmed in one of Chach's pics would actually clip into a mount on the windshield but after looking at his pictures the GGS 1724 (Rain light sensor lens) kit looks adhered directly to the windshield.

Ok let me back up. I have the humidity sensor currently installed (double side tapped in place with a black cover part number 1SU12DX9AA siliconed in place since mount was not available from mopar without window. I am thinking GBR 1892 and possibly GGS507 or GGS1724 PAD (not sure which at this point) would complete install correctly for the humidity sensor.

I believe that GGS1727KIT would be the Rain sensor install parts needed to install 68149325AC unless it does not come with gel mat which would require additional part.

What I was trying to say if I was ordering the wiper install kit I would figure out the humidity install kit and order same time since I am OCD.

That's where I was getting confused. Sorry. I need to do the same as you did above and I understand as I have OCD as well.

As far as the rain sensor cover, I'm not sure how I will do it. I doubt seriously I will be putting it under the mirror top cover just because of cramped space provided with the mirror mount. So I would need to figure out some kind of cover for it too.

This may have already been answered, but I didn't see it in the Google Drive Folder.

Yesterday I downloaded the App, but am still waiting on the MX OBD Bluetooth Connector. But while scrolling through the app, I noticed it has "LED Low Beam Lamps Present" along with other LED "Lamp" options.

If a person were to install LED Headlights into Quad Housings and selected these options in AlphaOBD, would they still need the CANBUS Adapters?

We need to find out who this guy in VT is and what he's doing with all the parts! I've got relatives in VT I might be able to shanghai into picking things up...

I think I remember someone saying they messed around with this but I can't recall who and a search didn't pull anything up for me. Hopefully they will step in to help.

First things first, read as much as you can. The OP is definitely a good place to start and also check out my sig for the Alfa link to the Google Drive folder with more info there.

Make a Google Drive account if you don't have one already. Not only will enable someone to help you if you run into trouble but it is a great way for you to keep up with all of your changes. When you make your first connection to your truck, make sure you have logging turned on in settings of the AlfaOBD app. After you have connected to your BCM, (if using Android) go to the little battery icon at the bottom of the app and click on it. Then at the top click on "Read System ID". It will populate in the box below your current config. After that follow the information on uploading your config to your Google Drive account.

Good luck and make changes slowly. Don't do them all at once. Give the truck time to sleep and make the changes. Test your changes out to ensure there are no problems before proceeding. Oh and take plenty of notes.

You won't see it in Tapatalk. In the upper right corner there are three little dots. If you click that you will see where you can open the thread in web view.

Post 627 has a guy setting the HID on through Alfaobd and stating it works, he then says his was going to pull all the associated adapters to make sure it still works but never posted the results. I was going to try the same on mine but haven’t had time.. I would think if it works for HID it should for LED. Give it a try and let everyone know. But like Ghost_Ram says take it slow and jot down everything you change. It’s easier to change stuff back if you jot them down than to compare the BCM files

If you look at the tabs on the side of Chach's pic (the silver/gray tabs) it looks like it clips on the smaller tabs of the purple base (the ones on each side).

So you'd stick the 1724 base to the windshield with the thin tabs facing forward and backward, then install the sensor by spreading it's metal tabs and snapping them over the base's shorter and wider tabs on the left and right.

I don't have LED...yet! I have been looking for a set of Black OEM quads or Projector for the right price. Every Time I find a set, I'm too late.

I also saw a few posts were people talk about, but never really say it it works. If nobody does it by the time I get my, I'll try it.
