Well just to confirm 2018 Ram 2500 was able to change tire size for my 37's. When going to change tire size there is a block to manually add the circumference in mm, below all the preset tire sizes.

After changing that and cycling the key, my cluster lit up like a christmas tree. I went to the ABS module, and used one the drop downs that I could connect to was not one of the Ram ones but it was the only one I could connect to. Followed the ABS initialize steps, which has you initialize ECU, then clear DTC's, then rolling logs.

Had to clear codes in the ABS module, BCM and Engine. Another key cycle and lights all cleared. And speedo was changed successfully.

This was done on the android version, with the MX bluetooth reader and a bypass for the 2018

Will work on a write up, as I had to do it a couple times to get the right circumference numbers.
When I set mine to the 35" Toyo with the Alpha tool there was no place to enter the tire sizes manually that I saw. I'm not plugged into my truck right now but I just opened the tool and looked again and I still don't see the option to enter it manually. My truck is a 2014 1500 so not sure if that may be the difference.

I can confirm the manual tire size selection on both Android and Windows. Must be a new addition

I found it. It's actually on the page in the beginning on my program not on the bottom of the programed size list. Does this look like yours?Screenshot_20181107-201929_AlfaOBD.jpeg

I just bought the app today and playing with it I to have a manual entry for tire size but it wouldn't let me change it. I also tried turning on drl which it said it changed to enabled but nothing is showing up in any menu. Am I missing something? I seen someone post a picture that it added the option in the setting menu

That box at the bottom allows you to add your tire circumference no need to use the drop down menu. You can use a tire calculator online to get that number. My 37's I ended up using 2870mm which equals out for 36.2 tire and that gave me within 1/2 Mph at 60

If you dont have the box you might need to update app, as I didn't upload mine till a couple days ago

Thanks. I just never noticed it because I thought it was on the bottom of the dropdown screen. I have 35" tires so I already got mine pretty close with the dropdown menu.

Wanted to add that I got my security bypass harness for my 2018. 2 minute install. Than a simple reset of my TPMS to 60 psi through Alfaobd. I already had my PIN to reset my RF hub and the harness was the last thing I needed. TPMS warning light now out on my dash. This setup is amazing in how many different things you can do. Awesome stuff!

Does anyone know where to look to check for an update for the app and check the version?

Mine doesn't update automatically like some of my other Apps. If you go to the Google Play Store and bring up the alpha OBD app it will tell you if an update is available. When you actually have the app open If you press the ! Icon on the top of the screen it will bring up the version that you currently have loaded.fdfdcbe4c583960244e998e9bd12bb84.jpg

If it's active it shuts down many functions of the truck to reduce battery drain to a minimum. It's used to ship the vehicle from the factory to the dealer. Not something you'd normally use yourself, unless perhaps you were shipping the truck somewhere via a long method (i.e. via cargo ship from HI to the mainland, etc)

Thanks, I did just what you said and yes I have the most recent version. I also clicked on the 3 little dots in the upper right corner in the Play Store for the AlfaOBD app and found a little green box with a check mark next to "Enable auto update".

I have mine checked as well but for some reason it doesn't update automatically. You might want to check the play store every so often just to make sure yours is updating.
