Anyone found a setting to have the 7" EVIC display the current gear all the time (as opposed to just when you've manually set the top gear)?

I see two that look promising...

I don't know think the 13-16 EVIC's are capable of displaying the current gear, but the 18 appears to be (when limiting the top gear, it shows the current one). I may have to give this a try when I get the chance.

That would be awesome, my Durango displays it and has the same trans and engine as my truck. I really like that feature because it's kinda hard to tell what Gear you are in when you have 8 gears.

I have seen some guys that were able to get the performance pages working about six months ago in the Ram but they wouldn't say how they were able to do it. Cusomtronics also had the option to turn them on at one point but they no longer have the option. It would be cool if someone who has a Challenger or Charger or any of the other vehicles that had the performance pages try to enable then with the tool and see if it works. That way we could see if possibly there's a setting that we're missing somewhere or if it just won't work with the tool with the trucks.

I had a beta version of the Customtronix FW (v16.13.x) on my 2014 Ra4 vp4-NA that allowed the SRT pages... But they were for a Challenger since there isn't a ram based SRT page in the radio. (Also showed metric units, but raw values were correct/USA ones).

There are a lot of requirements in the BCM to get the SRT pages to work on the radio which will cause other problems in the truck. I believe @customtronix was able to modify the radio FW so that all those requirements were met without changing the BCM (ie make the radio think it was in a Challenger).

I'm quietly hoping that they can get their Enigma to enable the pages on my 18 UAQ radio as well as the extra camera/video inputs with the front camera coming on automatically below 5-10mph like the Jailbreak did due the earlier radios.

Forgot about this and had to go find it. I was thanking the developer for fixing the bug for auto high beam a while back and this conversation reminded me of it. I inquired to him about the boot screens on the EVIC and 8.4 with performance pages and he responded...

"Please let me know if you find any tricks in setting of the options

I know sometimes it takes much experimenting to set something to work, because of interdependencies or contradictions between the options. The know-how of the car owners are precious "

Which would lead me to believe it is possible but who knows. I believe this to be true with other settings as well. Such as a setting adversely affecting others already enabled.

The one in my '14, which is out of a higher trim level '14, does. But only when you've disabled MDS by using the Gear +/- buttons on the wheel. I seem to recall reading that a couple of the tuners can turn it on all the time, even if you're not using the tuner to disable MDS, so I'm hoping it's in there somewhere.

For those that are looking, I confirmed the CC Door power fold modules used in my 2013 Ram1500 SLT Sport mirror upgrade are the same as the factory ones in my 2018 CC (via the AlfaOBD)...

Door switch i issued was 68110867AB
And Flat black Sport/Bighorn mirrors/modules in bold on my 13…

(Pwr Fold, Heated, AutoDim w/o color, w/puddle/signal)
(R) Pass Mirror: 68231240AD (GuK) Dr Module: ____68225102AC____
(L) Drvr Mirror: 68231241AI (GuK) Dr Module: _____68225103AC___

Keep in mind these are not the Chrome Laramie style memory mirrors. Note sure about the PN for those, but the modules do support memory if the CSM module is also installed.

Updated to the new Alfa released today and resetting the tire pressure was successful.

I gave up on custromtronix, i have about 3-400 dollars in their equipment hooked up to the 8.4. My streambox has a severe delay like 10 seconds, their response, oh yes its normal to have 1 second delay but 10 seconds is not right. It makes my gps unuseable - which was the entire purpose of the purchase.

Then absolutely no support afterward commenting that its not working correctly.

I sent them a picture where the gps mirror was off by .5 of a mile, how the hell does anybody expect to use gps nav if its off by .5 of a mile?

Anybody have trouble connecting to Google Drive with the AlfaOBD app? The same pop up with “Select Account” keeps popping up and the only way out is to force close the app. But when I use the Google Drive app, that connects right away.

Yes, it's the same program as the Android version just built for windows. I think the dev gives a discount if you buy both

Has anyone gotten a cheaper OBD interface to work? I don't need anything fancy for $80 if I could just get a cheap one that will work the same.

This will work for changing tire size? For example if I go up one tire size and speedometer isn't calibrated anymore.

I used a BAFX elm327 Bluetooth obd interface and it works fine but there are modules you went be able to connect to unless you get adapter cables. Talks about that on alfaodb website.

The real deal MX adapter looks like it can "adapt" it's pin out for those modules without any adapters. I think that's part of why it's expensive.
