STecoD tryed it on his mom's 2014 and it didn't seem to change anything but I am thinking about giving it a shot in mine.

Do pre-2013’s even have a splash screens for the EVIC? I know they are completely different than the 2013+ premium clusters.

Sorry for late reply, been really busy as a single parent and having full custody of my 7 year old lol.

Anyways yes my 2012 ram has an evic with splash screen. Unfortunately I know the rebel would never show. Especially after seeing the rebel splash. Mine shows the ram emblem with RAM below. It looks a hell of a lot better than the plain Jane none evic that I had in it.

Quick question too. Has anyone been able to connect to their door modules successfully? Maybe 2013? I know some of the modules are the same in an 12 and 13.

I have sent my debug to Alexey. I’m not able to connect to my door modules or ABS module. I am able to connect to my cluster after bringing 125k can +/- wires to my obdii plug. Just can’t get my darn door modules to enable global window option.

Also having an issue getting quad headlights working. I have it enabled and swapped my lights to quad lamps. But when I click highs my lows shut off. I did have fog light dropout disabled (meaning they will stay on) and thought it might be a safety feature they set so the lows will force **** off. Federal law states no more than 4 front lights may be on at any one time on streets/highways. So I enabled foglight dropout and still the lows turn off.

In a desperation to figure out why I can’t connect to my door modules, I rolled back all my settings I set and about crapped my drawers. I lost control of my evic and I lost my high beams all together! I let it set for 5 minutes and all came back up just fine. Still not able to connect to door module, and still no low beams when high beams are on. I know I could just make a relay pack to plug and play do this. But if I can just set a flag I’d be happier. On the AE tool I was told it has to be set in the TIPM, BCM, and one other place I forget.

Any ideas or tips would greatly be appreciated! I’m hoping Alexey can help. Figure the door modules, abs and quad lamps.

On my 17, global window is in the standard bcm settings, not sure about 13 but maybe you missed it?

I can connect to the door modules on my '14. There are however no configurable options there. There are only test functions (lights, switches, etc) and display versions of settings that are changed via the BCM.

Yes you will need a different lower cover with the hole for the lens. MpGrimm2 has all the part numbers listed. The wrecking yards will sometimes include the covers with the mirrors. I reccomend waiting untill you get the mirror before you order the cover.

Arrived today, no cover. Not a big issue, installed it anyway, truck is sleeping after making AlfaODB changes. I ordered the correct cover it will be here mid next week. Wires can show for a few days lol.

One thing about AlfaOBD is I hate the option for DRL. I was scrolling through and landed on DRL enable/disable. I somehow hit start. My finger wasn’t even in the screen. Now my damn headlights are on as drls. And it can not be disabled! Grrrr I hope there is a tool out there that will allow me to disable it. Otherwise I have to manually turn my lights on and off from now on.

Should have had a safety confirm. Are you sure? It can never be disabled. Now I’m borked.
??? On the 13 and newer trucks we can turn options on or off. I am not sure why you can't just turn it back off. Also we actually have to hit start twice. The first time we hit start it shows the current configuration and then we have to hit start again to actually change it.

Gotcha. Well I talked to the developer, he stated he’s working on an update since mine is a 2012 it’s a non PowerNet vehicle and currently there is no support. So hopefully I’ll beable to soon.

As for you not being able to change settings, inside my door modules I see configurations to enable the global window setting and others. You should have a few things you can change there iirc. The guy who rents out the AE tool also states that there are settings in the DM that can be configured. He just doesn’t know for sure If my truck will be supported. So it’s not bad. Around 100 rental (50 for the tool and 25 shipping both ways then 300$ deposit. It’s worth a shot atleast to enable my quads. I really don’t want to make a harness.)

As Ricks Ram stated, on ours you have to select the option you want and click start. It will then show you in the upper box the current selection and show a next button where the start button was located. After you click the next button if it worked it will say procedure completed.

Had another almost poop my drawers moment. I thought my drls were accidentally activated. (I was in DRL enable/disable and I didn’t even touch the start button). Then popped up completed and my head lights were in. I’m like omfg. Im screwed. I have to use manual headlight switch. Then I went back through the logs and checked... apparently enabling the DRL on 2012 ram disabled automatic headlamps. So.... I re-enables the automatic headlamps and presto. No more DRL! I’m going to suggest to the developer that he adds a “Are you sure you want to change the DRL? Once enabled it can never be disabled!” Pop up to just confirm, for this very reason.

All of the items I see in the door modules are realtime tests and displays of the state of options (puddle lights, turn signal lights, global up/down, etc), but those are all duplicates of things that are also listed in the BCM and can be changed in the BCM. I don't recall the ability to actually change them in the door module. The only thing I recall seeing in the door modules that was not in the BCM was the tests for the door & mirrors functions. However, that may be one of the differences between the '9-'12 and the '13+ models. I.E. on the newer trucks everything can be set via the BCM but on the older ones you had to set the options in the actual door modules. Unfortunately I'm in the office today and my OBDLink is at home so I can't pop out to the truck and confirm right now. I'll see if I can double check this evening.

I do have a question for you though, and I apologize if you've already said and I missed it, but what do the door modules have to do with the headlights? :)

Not on the 2012. There’s an option to enable DRL (not in car Configuration menu) and you hit start and it’s done. No second time hitting start.

I can’t find it gain right this second but as soon as I do I’ll post a pic. It shows
DRL Enable/Disable. Then there is no options under to set or un-Set. Just start and it’s done. It’s driving me nuts because I can’t find it again. I fact there are 2 right next to each other. Why there are 2 DRL enable/disable is beyond me. But that’s chrysler lol.
