So I have read through the whole 136 pages before I asked this question and I apologize if it has already been answered. If you have the choice between the Android version on a tablet or the Windows version on a Win10 touchscreen which works better? Either way it will be paired with a ScanTool OBDLink MX.
I think it is really personal preference and what people had readily available. Functionality wise they both do the same. I have been using Android and like it just fine.

Has anyone used alfaOBD to program a Sentry key? If so, please post the exact procedure. My 2018 Ram 1500 Std cab does not have a Fobik, just a key with a fat black plastic head. There is probably still a RFHM for the TPMS even though I don't have auto locks. I have the Security Bypass cable. Thanks.
Anyone? I have the keys cut and I have the PIN, alfaOBD, and the OBDLinkMX, just want to be sure it's possible.

See this post. Doesn't look like it

I wonder if its an issue unique to 2018? Would be nice to know if someone 2017 or earlier has been able to add fobs, for future reference if necessary.
Sounds like it is an issue with 2018 and as far as I know, no one has programmed any fobs with AlfaOBD yet. I have 4 in total now so I doubt I'll need one anytime soon.

I don't see why it wouldn't. Every setting works on my 2016 Express with retroshop harness and 16' Laramie projectors.

Saying that, I will say I set mine to high beam again they other day and heard a low hum. Put them back on signals.

So I read thru most of the posts, and I still have a question: has anyone actually used AlfaOBD to add new FOBIKs to their truck? I read a bunch of posts talking about how the security on the truck works, but never read a post where a person said "yup, just did it". I just purchased a 2016 Rebel that only has one FOBIK/key, but I purchased two more "blanks" to add. AlfaOBD supposedly has the function to add keys, provided that you have the PIN (which I also don't have, but going to try and get a dealer to give it to me).

Ok, answered my own question today. I bought two Fobiks on Amazon for ~$36 (total). These are the Fobiks that also have the air suspension and remote start for my '16 Rebel. I went to my local dealer parts dept yesterday and they gave me my PIN no charge (after verifying ownership with my insurance card). I purchased AlfaOBD today, and used AlfaOBD to program the new Fobiks to the truck.

Under the RF Hub section in AlfaOBD, I used the "Program Ignition Fobiks Baseline System" function to program the keys. It prompts you for your key code PIN (4 digit), then you hit "Start", and insert the new Fobik in the ignition (leave off). I didn't have to turn on the Hazards like some Youtube videos show. AlfaOBD then says complete (or something like that...forgot). I even tried to reprogram a key (thought it didn't take), and AlfaOBD said "key already learned". Cool.

hum ok.... i asked that because on my export 2018 Sport, I must have an other electrical beam. I activated my DRL with the ******* **** OBD keys from OBDgenie, and I had rear blinkers (orange in place of reverse lights) stay on when DRL runs.....
Thanks AlfaOBD and this forum to solve the problem....!

I will add, I can bring up the Torque app and it works fine so I know my OBD connections are good

I'm sorry but I am a little confused by your post. Are you saying that you programmed your DRLs originally with OBDGenie? Also, that now they are working correctly thanks to AlfaPBD?

Have you tried connecting to "Body Computer"? Or did you and that is what it is showing you on the next screen to connect?

I have a 2018 and see no selection for the 18. I chose the Body Computer my2013-171b7fc1ecc1f8e56faf7bf809c8aad203.jpg

@W4ZWA If that is a question, then yes, I believe those with 2018 trucks have been connecting to Body Computer MY2013-17.

Wasn't a question it was a statement, sorry for the confusion. That's what I've selected under body computer and get the failure to connect timeout when I attempt the connection.

First time for me on that one. Never seen it show "Vehicle System Interface Module" on the connection screen after selecting "Body Computer MY2013-17".

Hopefully someone with aa 18' will chime in.

Added to the notes section. Thank you miketx!!

That particular screen shot may have been when I was trying to connect to anything. I'm mainly trying to figure out why I can't connect to anything at this point. I feel like I'm missing something simple
