Gelpack part number, to mount the bracket to the windshield: 68224945AA

$40!!!!
Yep, that is what I seen as well. Still can't find the bracket though.

Edit: Unless it comes attached. If you look at this image, you can see a clip on the side. Unless it is just showing it attached? Not sure.

Looking at how it all seems to work, Im not sure it would be easy to re-mount the bracket even if we could find one.

The fact they make a special optically clear gel-pack means the sensor has to have perfect sight through the windshield (which makes sense, I guess) BUT I bet its also calibrated for a certain thickness as well, which means if you dont have the bracket mounted just right, the whole setup may or may not work correctly.

If I ever end up needing a new windshield, I might press to get one with the bracket, but until then I gave up on thinking about adding this feature.

Im leaning towards SmartBeam and rear heated seats as my main AlfaOBD mods. Wanted tilt in reverse but seems like a lot of parts and work to do for such a "small" feature.

I can understand that, and you're probably correct on all counts.

SmartBeam and TIR are both nice upgrades. Was able to locate the rear view and premium mirrors pretty cheap so it was hard not to do. Would love to tackle the seats but that is for sure out of my budget right now.

Just put in a 17' homelink so now I have the itch again.

I found a SmartBeam rear view off a Canadian truck lol its cheap, but since Canadian it doesnt have the 911 button. Probably not a big deal but the one time I could use it, it wont be there, so Im not buying that one.

I can probably get mirrors decent too, but I believe I need the door modules as well, since my truck didnt have memory anything from the factory?

As far as the premium mirrors go, you don't need the upgraded door modules or switch if you go the route I went. I have the momentary switches one for driver and another for passenger that enable me to fold them in. The mirrors have memory built in for TIR. I have an 16' Express.

Edit: If you want I can send you the links to what I followed for my install. The switch idea I got from Ricks Ram thread.

Power fold already came on my truck, I thought memory was required so the mirrors "know" where to tilt down and back up to. If thats not true then its something I can look further into, if all I need is the correct mirrors.

It depends on the mirrors you have now. You can look at the white plug inside the door panel. If it has more than 4 wires, then you have the capability already. Are your mirrors the chrome capped?

So you have the factory switch for power fold?

I have the factory power fold switch.

I have not checked inside the connectors because I assume they do not have the capability (they are not chrome-capped) although I have enabled the option in AlfaOBD, it just doesnt work (the check mark stays in the box, the mirrors just dont move)

Then they are more than likely not memory mirrors. However, it is just a matter of switching out your mirrors to have TIR. Check out this post in the for sale section.

Edit: You could also enable the codes to see if it works. There are 3 to set.

Auto Tilt Mirrors in Reverse: For premium mirrors (chrome capped with more than 4 wires on white plug)

Driver Memory Mirrors Present

Select "Yes"

Passenger Memory Mirrors Present

Select "Yes"

Tilt mirror in reverse

Select "Yes"

Pretty sure I already set Tilt Mirror in Reverse, will check the other two.

I added the CSM setting as well, and I can check mark the Auto Tilt setting and the checkmark actually stays checked. I wonder if thats a clue.

Possibly but I would be surprised if it works. Please let us know. You would definitely need the driver and passenger memory settings as well.

Edit: What trim level?

Unless your truck came from the factory with memory seats you do not have the correct mirrors unless you've changed them. The fact that it stays checked on your radio is good but it does not mean you have the correct equipment you're going to need to replace your mirrors or it's not going to work.

Its a Big Horn

I agree, I wasnt expecting it all to work without the memory mirrors, I just wasnt sure if I needed memory MODULE(S) to go along with them. Its an easier pill to swallow if all thats required are the mirrors.

And my thoughts on the check-mark actually sticking make me wonder if the modules in place *are* memory capable, all thats required are the mirrors to add not only TIR but actual memory capability if I got the matching seats and enabled the right settings.

The mirrors is all I upgraded in mine. Prices are all over the place for the mirrors, I was pretty fortunate. Make sure the seller supplies you with some images of the plugs as they should match what I linked to earlier.

The thing I dont understand is so far I believe my truck is the only one that will not allow the box for tilt in reverse to be checked on the screen. I checked and both driver and passenger mirror memory showed that it was set in the door modules and I tryed adding the codes in every way possible but nothing helped. My truck is lifted so it makes it even harder to back up to a curb and get close without rubbing so I always tilt my passenger mirror before I back in. This is one mod I would really like to have but can't seem to get to work.

I just pulled my door panel. I have the power, power fold, heated mirrors but looks like only 4 wires on the white connector (the wires coming in from the top of the pic) . About 9 others from the mirror on the black connector.
