Thanks.
Will try it again tonight. If it doesn't work I will be returning the key.

Looking for a little help here 2014 ram 1500 express...I got the Bluetooth odbII (ELM 327)paired it to my tablet started Alfaobd but cannot get it to connect to the body computer... this is the exact error I get when trying to connect
“ Failed!
Interface message: CAN ERROR Connect failed. Verify that key is in MAR and check wiring. Try to turn key to Stop then to MAR and repeat connect.”
Been trying now for about an hour with zero success...
I got this one as recommended by another user who has no issues with it at allUnfortunately, with all the issues that have been found with the ELM OBDII devices out there (most of which found to be counterfeit devices), they’re just not reliable and will not give you full functionality with AlfaOBD even if fully functional.
This is why the OBDLINK Bluetooth MX is fully supported here as most issues are generally found to be user error and are usually pretty easily helped here.

I've heard this same thing and I am not trying to put down ELM products but by and far there have been more issues with them in regards to this software than any other. SorryWorks with torque app...
I don't believe so.Will this reader work with the AlfaOBD software?

Which BCM are you selecting? If you select the wrong one you will receive an error connecting to CAN bus.Looking for a little help here 2014 ram 1500 express...I got the Bluetooth odbII (ELM 327)paired it to my tablet started Alfaobd but cannot get it to connect to the body computer... this is the exact error I get when trying to connect

I ordered what I believe now is the correct and supported mxJust a PSA - the issue with using a reader not on the approved list - it may work for some items but not for others - only the specified readers work 100%. So by using a non-standard/non-approved reader, you can wind up chasing your tail tracking down issues that aren't working which might be due to the reader itself.
Best bet is just to buy the correct reader. It's a bargain really compared to paying the dealer for ONE change, so it literally pays for itself right away.
Plus when you post for help you wont have 5 guys asking did you try using an MX.
Thanks Ghost. Same for me, no VC4 listed using Win10 version. Will send Alexy an email asking if this can be added or if there is a way to find it.According to my BCM config, it should be located in Vehicle Config 4 but it is not showing when connected to my truck. I can email dev and see if this was removed or ever there. Could have possibly been locked out I suppose.

Curious if those with a '14 using the Android version see the Vehicle Configuration 4 option or not.
