I did

i did not. The dealer gave me my code but it didn’t work so I paid the tech to program my FOBs. But he said he was the same code though. Thanks.
Also had the dealer tech do it on the side so this way it was tied to my vin and if the computer got reset I would not have to reprogram it.

It took my 14' over 3 days for the radio control of my DRLs to show.

But honestly, the csm being there or not isn't a dealbreaker for me. It's not the type of thing you're going to want to flip on/off often if at all. If you really want them back off, you have the tool for that [emoji869]

Do the DRLs only come on when the vehicle is out of park? Got my obd reader and hoping to get into it today. Any other cool features everyone suggests turning on?

"DRL - Vehicle cannot be in park, or have the parking brake engaged, for DRLs to come on. I knew this and still struggled because I engage my parking brake every time I pull in the driveway, and forgot about it as I was making my settings changes."

Hey guys I set my radio screen a couple months ago to say SRT on start up. I’m taking my truck to the dealer for the recalls and wanted to return that feature back to stock. Can someone tell me which is the correct section to put that back to stock?

Is this the correct one?

Any word on the custom dedicated drl harness or a part#/ price for the oem headlight harness with dedicated drl wiring? Wondering if new morimoto headlights will come with something for people converting from quads.

To set it back, just select no on the "Vehicle is an SRT". If you have changed nothing in your "Special Packages" locations, then I'm pretty sure it will revert back to normal. The SRT splash setting can take a couple rest/ignition cycles to go away.

Edit: If for whatever reason it does not return, you can also look at your original BCM configuration and look for "Special Packages". Write down which each one is set for and then go into Alfa to change to original. Definitely set to "No" on Vehicle is an SRT though first then see.

My truck came with quads, and when I installed the factory projectors, I opted to use the factory projector harness instead of the retroshop adapters as they were the same price at the time. It’s a bit of a pain to install because it contains the connectors for the fog light jumper harness, hood latch sensor, washer pump, washer level, headlights, a/c, and something else I can’t think of. The projectors function but the only problem is, the big mating connector that you plug that harness into under the PDC is missing wiring that goes to the BCM. That’s on my list of projects to complete right now.

Interesting. In that case i may just purchase the aux switch kit from 4th gen ram electronics and when i get the morimoto headlights just run ignition power to those drl’s and program it with alfa to auto on when i start the truck.

Thanks for the help, I reset it and let it rest 20min. The splash stayed and so did the background. I went to the display and all options to select were Ram now so I chose one and now the background is back to normal. I’ll let it rest overnight and see if the splash goes away.

This is one of the settings that does take a bit to reset. Hopefully it’ll be back to normal by the morning for you. This one took several hours for mine.

Thanks, I just went out and checked it again and the SRT was gone and back to RAM. It took about an hour. The screen looks really boring now. After my dealer visit I’m going to set it back to SRT. I really like this alfaobd

Spent the last two days reading through 397 pages of this thread. o_O Picked up the AlphaOBD app a couple of days ago. Looking through the app before connecting it to my 2016 3500. Went into the MY2016-2017 BCM menu. Under the car configuration change menu there is an entry labeled ECUCONFIG 4 - Fuel capacity. When you select it, it asks for a value.

Would this allow for changing the size of your fuel tank. I am currently running a Titan 55 gallon tank and wondering if this would change the distance to empty reading? If so, what is it looking for - gallons or liters? Thanks.

Value is in liters. You having the titan could answer the question we all have.

Using Android, when I “read system ID”, everything shows up in a nice itemized list. When I upload it to google drive, it ends up showing as one humongous run-on sentence paragraph. Is there any way to have it upload in the same list form as viewed in read system ID?

Sorry I didn't see any replies here for about a week or so. Have been on vacation. I have had a few issues with this software myself but with everyone's help here I have been able to get everything working.

What do you need from me? I can send my BCM configs if that might help. I did set all of my DRL stuff up on an older version of Alpha. Maybe newer updates aren't working for 5in radios?

EDIT: I actually have never updated the software on my tablet so I could pull the older .apk file for you if you want to try that.

Would you like me to post what version of software is on my 5in radio too?

I went to the Play Store and there were a lot of different notepad apps. Which developer is the one you referenced? None of them shown are listed as notepad +

Notepad ++ is a PC program that properly reads carriage returns and line feeds to display a raw text file.

You can just Google notepad++

QuickEdit for Android is similar.
