Eventually I am going to need new tires and see theres a lot of new brands out there. I don't take the Ram out in the mud or boondocking. May run a back road or two but nothing major. I want something that's going to be quiet, have decent traction in the snow as my truck is our main vehicle used during winter months here in N.H. I have had the Michelin LTX on our Avalanche, and our son still has the Av with the LTX tires and has served him well. Have heard Firestone Destination LE and Cooper Discovers (Back in the day of my Jeep CJ) were great tires. Have also tried Yokohama tires. Would like something with like 50,000 miles rating or so. The Falken tires I have seen, the tread design are more aggressive than I would like. Not impressed with Goodyears or BF Goodrich tires.

Were you not satisfied with the Michelin's? That's what I have run on all three of my 4th Gen's and have been really satisfied with them.

I used Mich LTX MS/2 on Grand Cherokee year around in the CO mountains. Best all season IMO. Just put a new set on my Ram 1500. They have upgraded the tire a bit and it is now called the Defender LTX M/S2. Wouldn't buy anything else based on my experience.

As the dammm Goodyear junk wore out at 27,000 miles, I just put on a set of Mastercraft street tires. Much better ride and handling. Great in deep water from flash floods. I’m happy and they weren’t as expensive as Michelin’s.
