Quite often it'd deaden the majority of resonances that contribute to drone, but there's always that one wave form that still exists that even header wrap can't dampen. How much of the exhaust system did you wrap?
Top to bottom excluding the tips, factory dual exhaust behind the muffler w/ 5” tips. Helped but not enough for the wife. Lol. No exhaust leak. Got any clips of your magnaflow setup pre-cam?

Last week I removed the Borla S muffler & install the Borla touring along with their resonator.
Much tammer & no more drone running headers with no cats.
Can you upload a few videos cold start / in cab driving around town? I can’t find ANY videos of the touring paired with headers and I’m ready to pull the trigger on buying them but won’t until I hear it

Did you wrap the midpipe ahead of the muffler, from the cats back,as that's what needs to be wrapped.Wrapping behind the muffler helps, but it's ahead of the muffler that should be wrapped.

Ohhhhhh must be nice…. Electric cutout is definitely gonna get thrown on her one day
It is a nice to have. Can start it up at 5:00 in the morning without waking up the entire subdivision and then switch over to rumble rumble when I get out of the neighborhood.

The problem with "cutouts" seems to be either with the motor going bad or with constant leaks. If you read about cutouts, those seem to be the main complaints from a lot of people who have them or have ever had them. I recently saw some advertised on a TV show with Dave Kindig, and he had some for sale, but as I remember, they were REALLY expensive. They also may be on his website. Whether they were any better than some of the other well-known brands, I have no idea.

I'm not sure what brand I have???? It was on the truck when I bought it. I have had it for 9 years now and have had no issues, open and close it all the time. Had no idea people have issues with them. I'll consider myself lucky!

The flapper style are notorious for leaking or losing a motor.

So I know this has been covered but let me start with this. Drone is a frequency and everyone picks up and hears frequencies a little different. I could get in your truck and not think the drone is as bad, or think its worse at a different RPM range than you, you could think its really bad, and your wife could think its worse than both of us think it is. SO what might have worked for some may or may not 100% work for you or more importantly your wife and child but I do have some data I can share with you that may help. We have sold a lot of SW long tube headers with catted y pipes and catback combos. I will share with you the combos that I have alot of feedback on that have reported no to little drone.

SW and Corsa sport catback
SW and Borla S catback----The majority of our customers have this combo with great results

let me know if you would like a quote on anything. We usually have these in stock.
