If its a stock type radio there is a trim capacitor adjusting screw on the side of the radio near where the antenna plugs in. You should adjust that screw for max volume from a station around 1000 on the dial with the antenna all the way up. That is provided you can ever find a station.

Sometimes if you were away from town, adjusting it at night, was the way to go

In San Diego, there was a AM station out of UTAH, It was called Late Night with this guy who believed in UFOs & other things.
It came in clear as can be.

If a vehicle was built in Michigan, you would have to adjust the radio a bit.

If you have a shark fin, i do not know if that is possible

Break out a Transistor radio or BOOM BOX, extend the antenna Try tuning in an AM Station
Does the 2017 Ram have a separate AM/FM antenna, or just a Shark Fin antenna ?

I used to tune AM/FM radios in , back in the days before satellite radio , now radios have changed so much
Separate antenna that is mounted to the passenger side front quarter panel and pulls double duty as a clearance feeler gauge.
