Another Hemi Tick thread

I asked the guy how it was ticking before if the bolts weren't broke since they are claiming they were good. Now he's saying they heard some lifter noise which is common but not an issue. Umm, lifters shouldn't be making any noise and no one mentioned that to me previously.

fca is full of ****, why anyone would buy another hemi product is beyond me, I certainly never will. Decades in ford products, most 351w, never once anything like issues we see with fca products. Ram's drive much better and are cheaper, but if I get something else it will be a 90's Ford and rebuilt that sucker new. 90's Fords actually drive better then newer fords that handle like dump trucks, I have no idea what they did different. But th hemi issues just extremely disappointing.

I was really happy with my pickup before this ****. Its such poor service and $600 isn't that much money but it should have been fixed properly the first time under warranty. It seems like one excuse after another instead of owning up to the mistake.

Looks like I will be fixing this and doing an early oil change to redline. If it has any other noises I will trade it off for something else.

I love my ram, best truck I ever had, just not the best engine, which is a deal killer for me as far as ever buying another. As far as transmissions go, didn't really care for the Ford either. For me and my old man driving style, 390hp is just over kill anyhow. To each their own.

If I was to ever get a new ram, I would look at different engines options at that time, even though I am painfully aware that the hemi is way more popular as far as resale.

If $600 isn't much, then throw a few hundred more in the till for some headers and never worry about it again.

About a year ago my 2016 Ram started ticking or tapping on cold starts. I took it to the dealer as it was under warranty. They said it sounded fine and they checked the manifold bolts and they were all good. Recently it started getting louder and lasts for almost a minute.

From reading other threads I think it is the manifold bolts but wanted other opinions before I take it in again.

Lol, I didn't notice that reflection before but yes it is. I went on a bow hunting trip a little bit ago and had just finished cleaning everything out of my vehicle so I could take it inside.
