Attached are the diagnostic computer of what is wrong with my truck I know I need an abs module and it's on back order other than that the truck won't shift out of 2nd gear can't go over 20 mph I have the 2017 ram 2500 6.7 diesel 4wd. Is my PCM bad? Is my shift pack bad? Do I need to replace the whole transmission? The truck has only 72k miles on it.

I was driving down the road no problem all the power in the world no issues hit gas to speed up to get around a vehicle on the interstate suddenly it revved like it was in neutral and then just wouldn't do anything but rev till I got below 10 mph then it drives fine till it hits 25 or so then like its in neutral until it gets below 10 mph again. Does anyone know where to start on diagnostics on this issue?

How old is your battery? Or batteries? Weird every code is for stuff under/in suspension.

It is something stupid I would wager you would not need a new transmission, maybe PCM, short somewhere but it is something in electronic chain somewhere.

Already did hard reset?

You need a guy who knows about electronics and software even voltage and wiring, kinda clear this is the issue as some of those are independent systems. Someone who knows what they all have in common and tend to be of a certain type as in items in the suspension. Do the go through RF hub and controlled with ignition? Is it computer? I have like no idea other then can say this is related and isn't hard parts.

BCM = Normal which didn't expect anyway, 9 PCM codes still possible, but RF hub and can bus codes, seams like could be ignition or PCM. To many items fail at once almost always battery or ignition or comms problem.

So maybe take it to a Dodge dealership ?

Before you do that, start checking connectors. Especially anything in a location that someone has messed with. Or, could hit with their foot. Particularly, their left foot, while driving. :anitoof:

Particularly, this one:

Lost communication with BCM. Since lots and lots of other stuff is controlled by and routed through the BCM, if your BCM conks out, you will get codes for EVERYTHING, just like you have..

So, poke your head under the driver side footwell, and look at the big connector/module up by the emergency brake. That, is the BCM.

I unplugged mine once when a bootlace snagged on the connector's camlock handle, and my truck did what yours is doing. So, unplug the BCM connector, look it over for damage, and reconnect it.

It may not be your issue, but it won't hurt to check it.

That did not fix it thought it may have it got up to 40 mph then did it again and won't go over 25 again it's like it forgets how to shift

Sorry to hear you have a transmission issue. Last monthh, our son's 2016 2500 4x4 Crew Cab with the 6.4 and 66RFE trans had a similar problem. All of a sudden, the trans wouldn't up-shift over 30 mph. He got error codes and we took it in to three different shops for diagnosis, including the local Phoenix Ram dealer. All places agreed, trans needed a rebuild. Ended up costing $6,800. His truck has 92k miles - mostly highway miles, and only pulled a small u-haul trailer one time.
I'm a Mopar guy from way back, and I currently own five - Ram 1500, Challenger Hellcat, Charger, Wrangler 4xe, and a Prowler. My experience recently has been if it's been made in the last 10 years, you're rolling the dice on quality.
My Ram, Charger and Jeep all have Maxcare warranties. The Hellcat's warranty recently expired and to be honest, I'm afraid to drive it much since repairs are crazy $$.

Rather than taking it to a dealership, I'd take it to someone that deletes trucks, who can hook it up to a computer/programmer to find the problem. ALOT CHEAPER!

Has any maintenance work or aftermarket parts been installed, or have you been tweaking anything before this DTC storm arrived?

Also, what supporting evidence do you have to suggest the ABS module has expired or failed?

Our rolling microcomputers are much more challenging to identify failures than in the old days.

A DTC storm is often the result of a rogue module spewing garbage onto the CAN bus; it doesn't necessarily suggest the module has failed.

The module could get squirrelly from a corrupt ground or B+, faulty/dirty connector, or even a defective sensor.

I've read endless posts about ABS modules going berserk and causing DTC storms, nothing new there.

I've been tweaking my wheel circumference twice per year for the past couple of years.
The last time, Spring 2025, the ABS module went crazy. This caused a DTC storm and wiped out the speedo and EPS, among other things.

The solution for me and countless others has been to reinitialize the ABS module, and that's it.

I trust that the ABS module is still installed. Is that correct?

I'm sorry to hear of your issues. I just went through this for the last 6 months with my 2018 2500 CTD Mega. Started happening around 65K miles. Anytime I would accelerate more aggressive than fuel conservative driving, I would potentially enter this state of the tranny not shifting above 3rd or 4th gear. When I came to a stop light, the shift from 1st to 2nd was violent - felt like the tranny was gonna drop at times. If I parked the truck for hours to overnight, it would "reset" and drive normal until I gave it some gas! The check engine light would be on for this, and then go off overnight. Occassionally the check engine light would turn on prior to it not shifting properly, always indicating what was going to happen the next time I gave it some gas.
The solution for me was a new tranny from the factory. Luckily I had an extended warranty. My service advisor informed me this is very common on our trucks and a year or two prior I would have been on a long waiting list to get a new or rebuilt tranny.
My pest control buddy had the exact same issue on his 2017 at 120K miles. .. 6 month ago. This heavy duty tranny aint so heavy duty : (

Did your truck also have a large number of unrelated DTCs?

I'm not sure about that as I never checked it out myself and took it into the dealer
