Never seen them on a 1500
I'm not sure you'd be able to find a 19.5" or what ever size you choose 5 lug wheel single wheel

They're heavy as **** to so they'd probably wreck your front end and fuel mileage would be non existent

You would never have to put another set of tires on the truck probably ever again

I don't see the point in doing it on a half ton, any E range tire would have more then enough weight capacity for a 1/2 ton truck

I agree with you Cody but man do some shiny Alcoa or similar rims look good. I have only seen it done on HD trucks with duals.

I think you'd be very disappointed with the results of a wheel/tire package like that on a half-ton. That much more unsprung weight and rotating mass will be very noticeable in braking and acceleration, not to mention it will ride like a buckboard.

If you're just looking for an industrial duty tire then check out the Toyo M-55 tire, they're the staple tire for every company truck I've ever driven in the Alberta oil field

Lol so an E rated tire would do just fine?

I would love to never have to worry about my tires again XD
But yeah I know the ride would suck with them just curious that all.

No tire will last as long but you can get 65k+ miles out of some LT tires.

Not worth the comfort, and significant hit to your MPG.

E Rated tires and call it a day if you really feel you need a heavy load tire.

Only problem with the M-55s is they are limited in sizing. I run them here on my service truck in the forestry industry. 100k with no flats is common life for them

I run Nito Crosstek, I believe that only NTB or there affiliates have it, but it has been a great tire, I am on my 2nd set. I had over 70,000 on my 1st set alot of that was trailer and hauling and they still had plenty of life on them, but work was willing to pay for new ones and winter is coming, so I wasnt going to turn them down. They are a great tire both on and mild off road. rain and snow traction is amazing, and no problems w flats.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish?
Depending on the size most E range ar rated for ~3600-3900 lbs which is more then enough for a half ton
You will still see a decrease in fuel economy from running them (still pretty heavy)

I'll third the toyo m55 as being the toughest light duty industrial tire out there. If you can find a tire and wheel combo that fits your pickup get them and rotate them ever 6k miles and you will probably get rid of the truck before those tires wear out

Ian Johnson on Extreme Off-Road TV did an episode where he converted a Ram 3500 to Semi styled wheels and tires.
