Chaney just installed ARH Longtubes, to a 2.5" X-pipe, to dual 14" Magnaflow mufflers. I will try to find his video that he posted.

Unless you guys plan to run boost or nitrous often, then stay away from 3" duals. That is just too much piping for most guys and is going to hurt your tq down low. You need to be pushing alot of air to be able to gain from a dual 3" exhaust.

so you reccommend a dual 2.5" for n/a and nitrous every once in a while? on my set up i plan on doing a cam swap later on when theres more people running them on these 4th gens

I would still go with the 2.5". Also, do your headers have the 1 3/4 or 1 7/8 primaries?

If they are the 1 7/8, then that is the big reason why they have not performed as well for you as others are seeing. The larger diameter pipe on the headers, just like on a true dual setup, all work the same. Bigger diameter piping only helps a small few people that take their truck far enough to use that extra air. Last year I sold about 25 sets of ARH longtubes and only 1 of those were the 1 7/8", and they went to a customer in Canada with a blower.

i still think its the tune also this truck is running really rich i bet and also it sounds like i have a huge exhaust leak but i could never find it. im just hoping once its tuned it turns out better then how it is at the moment if not idk what to do. but your right it might be that the headers are flowing more then what i need

if it comes down to it ill have to port and polish the heads and spray the truck to make the headers worth it lol

Nah... Just get a blower for it!

no thank you that would only happen if somehow they get tuning far enough advanced to fix all the problems these trucks have with boost

Yeah, that is definitely the con of buying a RAM. GM and Ford currently make it pretty easy to do these mods.

I'm kicking around a maggie or pro-charger for the G8, but in the end I think I nice cam and ported and polished heads and headers will make there way on it instead.

If I didn't have a stay at home mom, a 2 year old, and a 4 week old, I'd be all over that! lol

Right now, I have to purchase the car out of the lease, order a 4 post hoist for the garage, and then do all the modding. It's already modded some, but just enough for a DD. Now that it'll be a "toy" I can mod it to hell and back and not have as big of an issue with reliability.

I've been toying blower as well as a cam, convertor, head job, but man... That's about 15,000 bucks, and that's not counting the new axle halves and driveshaft it'll need due to the stupid power increase.
