A while back, I noticed at night that one of my headlights (or foglamps) was "flickering" when going over a bump. Well, with a little extra time on my hands thanks to the "Rona" I decided to look into it further. It turns out that both my fog lamps (the entire housing not just the bulb) were loose with the passenger one being the worse.

I got under the bumper to see if anything was loose. The bracket that holds the assembly is tight but the whole light housing jostles around. The circled item in the picture looks to be an adjustment screw. If I tighten it down all the way the play in the light assembly goes away but I'm sure the lights are now pointing in a less than optimal direction.

Anyone else have this issue? Figured I would ask here before I dig into it further.

I had the same issue. I bought the brackets and put cubes in no more vibrations

Yup, I've noticed it as well. I'm not that concerned about it but at some point I will get underneath to take a look as see how i can rectify that situation.

There is a whole thread on this i believe. There is a simple fix with zip ties where you pass them through where it's worn and it will tighten up the fit again. Ill try and find the thread.

The type of bulb isn't a solution. A loose housing will shake the reflector. LED, HID or Halogen if the housing is loose the light pattern will shake giving you the "flicker" you are seeing.

I'm comfortable with doing electrical stuff, I meant the quality of the LED light. Spending more $$$ doesnt ALWAYS mean better quality...and that seems to be more true with electrical stuff than anything else.

Oh I get what you're saying. Yeah I find with electrical most of it comes from China anyways. Just go with a brand with good reviews and warranty. That's all you can really do.

google search "loose foglights ram 1500" should bring up a good youtube video, I just got my truck and I just fixed it by that video, same as AE5548 said, you have to tighten up the pivot point where the housing harness and light housing connect.

Yep I think that was linked in one of the other threads I found. Now I know what I am up against.
