The morons at RAM dropped Pitch black option and went with only the craptastic brilliant black pearl that has more metallic flake in it than a kids project set? My current truck is the pearl which i fking loathe to hell and back...when shopping for a new '17 sport, I see no pitch black. WTF?
In sunlight the truck looks like a dull ass silver thing. Its horrible.

I like the black that you hate. I have that on my 13 citadel and had the plain black on my 14 big horn. Always wanted the the metal flake. But I like shiny wheels too. Not black ones. I have seen a truck around here that a guy did flat black plastic dip.

It's simple. The pitch black wasn't selling, the brilliant black was. Follow the money and you can answer any question you ask.

I was like you at first when I bought my brilliant black. But now I really like it. It actually looks cleaner longer and it really pops in the sunlight when it's clean

I liked the pitch black over the brilliant black. It just looked better for me.

I've owned both. I preferred the pure black even though it's harder to maintain.

Bummer they pulled it as an option.

I have a pitch black 2014 Sport and I f'ing hate the color. I breathe on it and a scratch shows up. I'll never get a black Ram again.

Had a black truck for years.... am in NO hurry to get another. I like the charcoal gray colors that pretty much every manufacturer has some version of.

Black looks sweet when it's first clean but it gets dirty instantly and shows every little ding and scratch.

Mine was hell to keep clean. This white is nice that it doesn't show everything. Don't tell Thunderhorse that though.:happy107:

Blacked out cars and trucks are as overdone as zombie movies and tribal tattoos now that I'd never even consider one. You just end up being a boring ol' clone of every other clone on the road. Not to mention it only looks good for 5 minutes after a wash and then crap the rest of the week. Everyone thinks they're being original with a stealthy black car... when they're 16. After that you're Al Bundy's high school football stories
Don't forget to add the smoked headlights too because there's not a million black cars and trucks with smoked lights so you'll really stand out even more! Lol.

Maybe it's just me (j/k I know it isn't) but I'd absolutely despise my vehicle every time I pulled into a parking lot just to see a dozen other lemmings with the same ride all the time. F that

I own'd a 13 Ram Sport pure black and it was nice. Yes, shows every damn fault but man, when waxed it is sick. I currently own a 15 ****horn with the "new black" and God, it's fugly. The metallic is overkill. Some metallic is OK, but man, the truck in the day looks like a dull silver. The black to me isn't well shown through the gobs of metallic flake in it.

As such, my next truck will be red. I'm just trying to decide if I want to Flame red or Torred red. Either way it'll be a 17 sport cc. I can't do white...a **** to wax and just doesn't show shine like any other color (and yes I've owned white and my wife's Jeep is white).

Even the night editions aren't pure black. Makes no sense. Put a pure black beside a brillant black and (to me) the choice is simple...pure black, as it makes the other look faded or silver or off color.
