Anyone try Modifystreet headlights?

You'll have to make a wire connection to the front end connector ( under the fuse block). Depending on your trim level you may only have to make 2 connection R/L DRL feed to the front half. If you have a base model you may have to make that connection the from the truck side of the connector to the bcm. Then through alphaobd enable the dedicated drl option. I'm about to tackle this hopefully this weekend.

Thanks for the reply! I have a Big Horn; came through with remote start and factory fogs, so perhaps I'm halfway there. Where is the connector located? A pic would be great if you could possibly snap a couple while you're doing the install!

Keep us posted and thanks again!

Will do. Here is the front end connector. You'd most likely add to pin 5 and 29 on the "female" side/front of truck side

Those Alpharex Nova quads are a pretty nice looking setup.

FYI, pinout can change from 13-18 AND 1500 vs 2500. Here's where the connector is at (indicated pins are for the foglights ) ....5f75416a5dc231d912eedad30cfac3fc.jpg39a1ee3ad816e8e64218d6ecc2972d4f.jpge3a550bcb5325b44f4074607b18badb5.jpg

Thanks MPGrimm2!! I could find the 'x-ray view' on AllData, but those pics are WAY more help.

My truck is a 2016. I'm guessing the pins would need to be the male pins (in the female connector)?

On my 2018 Big Horn I was able to activate my DRL's with the Alpha designating the Turn signals. Would it not be the same with the Alpha Rex lights.

The Modifystreet lights have a dedicated DRL light (top bar on the headlamps) that isn't tied into the truck's harness by default. Though you could probably set the turn signals as your DRLs, the dedicated DRL LED bar won't work. At least NOT without the wiring additions I've been inquiring about.

Of COURSE they have to be purchased in quantities of 100!

I wonder how much different these are than the female pins for the C2 connectors? And the female Amp Multilock .40 connectors look VERY similar.

It would be the same on these lights, you'd be using the turn/park lamps as the drl's not the drl's that the lights come built with. They do come with (at least from eBay/Amazon) with a drl harness (kinda like what the morimoto lights use) to tap into a fuse to activate them. Truck's that came factory with the projectors already have a dedicated drl's feed that is active. Your truck being a big horn should be 95% wired for the dedicated drl feed you'd just have to go from the front end connector to the headlights to their drl connection and set the dedicated drl option in alphaobd to have a "factory" drl

They don't. I think I bought 10 of these. I'd have to double check my order but I know I didn't have to order a 100

Edit apparently ordered 50. Total shipped was $20

I'll re-check...I'm pretty beat, so I could have just mis-read the website!

EDIT: Just checked again: I got a pop-up that states: "nexelec says You need to purchase a minimum of 100 of the 7116-4102-02 per order."

I'll check the site again in a few days. I think their quantity minimum changed for one of the connectors for the Keyless Enter & Go project from the initial posting of the part.

It does say a minimum of 100 pieces. I'm trying to find the account login page to nexelec. They hide it really well

I can make you all some 8" pigtails. $5 for 4 + $3.50 shipping (typ. $3.25-$4 ship.) Which includes the correct seals in the pins (sealed connector). Pm me if interested and confirm what pin #'s you need on that yazaki Conn with your year/model (1500/2500).

For the life of me cannot find the email receipt for that order. I can check when I get home from work. But 99% sure I didn't order a 100. There's only a few pins that I've ordered that had a minimum of only 50.

It's possible that they did raise the minimum.

For what @Mpgrimm2 said he'd charge to make up a short harness it's worth it. I only had ordered some so I could add my own fog light harness. And now I made a drl harness.

I definitely WILL let you know Mpgrimm2 because that would be WAY easier than doing it from scratch! I have to go TDY this weekend and next is drill, so it will be a couple weeks before I do anything on this- but I'm VERY interested in doing this swap!

From the sound of it, I would only need to 2 pigtails, as the Inline Body / Front End Module connector diagram for a 2016 Ram 1500 shows that cavity 8 is the Left DRL Lamp Driver and cavity 23 is the Right DRL Lamp Driver. What's odd is that the "Option" column for cavity 8 shows "Premium" ("No Connect" for Base), but cavity 23 lists "Fog Lamps" in the "Option" column for the DRL driver, and the "No Connect" options lists "Except Fog Lamps". Here's the diagram I got from AllData (note that this connector's pinout is split into two images, but cavities 30-34 shouldn't apply to this situation):

AllData Inline Body Front End Module.gif

Both the Mopar Connection Repair Kit site and AllDataDIY show a different connector pinout for a 2016 Ram 1500 (DS) than the one 1500Ram12 posted above. On his diagram, pin 5 is the Left DRL Lamp Driver and 29 is the Right DRL Lamp Driver. At least the wire colors are the same (WT/YL and WT/DB respectively L & R). Pins 3 and 28 are the left and right Front Lighting Fault Sense pins respectively. Note also that on that diagram, there are no options for a vacant pin. I'm not sure what vehicle his diagram is for.

I'm waiting until I get some led h7 in for low beam. I activated drl on my bullydog tuner(my truck had quads), now not sure how to do the drl wire, isn't it just connected to fuse box to fuse that's always on when trucks running?

The one he posted is for 2500/3500s. The one you posted is correct for your truck. Just be sure to double check your front end connector and make sure 8 and 23 are populated on the male side (this is the side that receives all the wires from the BCM). If so, then all you should need is to finish running the wires from the female side to the headlights.
