Hi all,

I recently bought a 2015 Ram 1500 and thought it would be a good idea to remove all traces of the previous owners settings on the UConnect system. So i did a personal settings reset from the menu but since doing that some of the app names on the main page as missing (See pic) - its been 2 weeks so its not like they are updating or downloading

Ive done some googling but can't seem to find out how to fix it. Has anyone seen this before? Would it be worth just doing a soft reset of the system to fix it?

Any advice would be appreciated

Not sure if this will help but... I got my 2016 CPO and the last owner had never activated anything so uconnect support had ditched it from the system. The last update was big, but it seemed to be installed OK, but the backup camera stopped working and it was acting hinky and slow after I cleared everything from the previous owner. It was at night and I couldn't figure it out, dealer closed.

I set up the phone app, didn't seem to register. The app icons that vanished were for some apps they no longer support like Pandora. Last ditch effort before bed was to hit the "assist" button on the rear view mirror. Lady was nice, helped me set things BACK UP in the system since they deleted it because it was never activated. Once we got registered she had me hold the drivers side cold temp button and the passenger side hot temp buttons with the key on and it took me into another hidden menu with a hard factory reset. After that, it booted up from scratch, got a 3G cellular data connection, she saw it register on the system, finished setting it up on their end and it was all good. She also set up a free month of the uconnect assist and 2 months of free satellite radio.

The next day after driving for quite awhile I think it finished doing it's thing because the backup camera quit working again. I did the reset trick she told me about and since then it's worked perfectly. Keep in mind you will lose all your personal presets when you reset it but since then, no issues, even after I upgraded to the factory NAV and then again after the newest NAV map update.

This is the Youtube video that shows how to do it. Not sure if it will post... last time I posted a Youtube video it got pulled.

took mine to a dealer for something else, mention that the app names were missing. They reset the unit and then applied an update and it fixed the issue. Hopefully a reset fixes it for you

Hello guys, I had the same issue app name and icons not showing, after trying multiple solutions the only one that worked for me is to update the uconnect software.
I went to the uconnect website and entered the vin number to get the update I need. You will also find a pdf explaining how to perform the update.
Once done restart the vehicle and all icons will be there again. Some apps will be removed because they no longer exist in the store.
