I'm pretty sure the wide 3" ID to 3" OD clamp belongs on the extension pipe to factory pipe, and the single band clamp belongs on the muffler (Borla Pro XS) to extension pipe since the muffler can clamp tight because of the slits, vs two solid pipes that need that wide clamp to seal properly. I just had the muffler installed this morning, and something seems off. In addition, I told the idiots they had to cut the 18" extension pipe down to 16-17" because the exhaust tips would stick out too far, which they do by a good inch, so they clearly didn't cut it.
I wonder if this is why the systems sounds weird on occasions, possibly an exhaust leak of sorts? Sometimes it sounds good, when flooring it on the freeway, and other times, like when letting off the gas on the freeway, or going at 40mph sometimes I get a weird helicopter like exhaust sound, and it isn't the MDS.
