Just hit the buy button on these

https://americanracingheaders.com/c...-ram-1500-truck-8-speed-2009-2013-long-system

Going to have a shop install as I think this may be over my pay grade , also having them cut it apart right behind the passenger side cat and go true dual , not sure if there is any benefit to that or not ?

Anyone have any insight to what type of HP and noise I can expect

Using two Borla XR-1 mufflers

https://www.amazon.com/Borla-40085-...ocphy=9006807&hvtargid=pla-633829439167&psc=1

Wanted to put cut offs in but can't swing them at the moment

Guy said he would costume tune it on his dyno as they do a lot of race cars there? not sure about that, running 93 Hemi Fever ATM ?

The true dual is just extra money for no Hp gain.

Other than the cool factor the X-pipe will change the sound some which should sound awesome with the long tubes!

By themselves I've read not much gain, just sound. However, when you add as a complete package (and it looks like you have most of it in your description) with a tuner can make a big difference. Let us know. Every little bit adds up, and eventually all comes together.

X pipe will help a bit, H and True dual wont add hp or tq. an aftermarket y pipe will flow enough for near stock power levels like basic bolt ons and tune. If you want every last bit of power X pipe is the way to go unless your talking full on huge power race motors.

That is why I like to recommend stainless works with their performance connect and catback for a full system. They take all the guess work and fab work out and you have a proven, great fitting setup that bolts right in.

I had long tubes with no cats. Upgraded y pipe 3” to manga flow muffler 2.5” out the back dual 4” tips. No resonators. Sounded like crap at certain rpm and gear. And I mean embarrassing for the truck lol. Switched to borla pro xs, 2 of them and added an xpipe with 5” tips. So true dual in a sense and it sounds amazing. Also I gained low end back to be honest. I hit the gas before and it felt sluggish and real raspy. Now it sounds great all the time and when I hit the gas around same speed and rpm it goes. Usually after a right turn for example. So for me it was improvement over y pipe.

I've got the ARH LT's (1 7/8") with no cat, small mufflers (a more generic, straight through magnaflow knock offs), and true dual exhaust.

First, I did the LT's and matched them straight to the stock exhaust after I installed them so I could get it to my exhaust shop, sounded about twice as loud but OK. I deleted MDS so didn't have a drone.

I had the shop do true duals, no x-pipe, with stock tips.

Holy crap the thing was loud! I loved it, but it was a bit too much. It got a bit raspy sometimes when you accelerated, but I really liked it anyway. I did lose a bit of low end torque, but when you got over 3k I noticed an increase in the top end. Have a Jay Greene tune.

I went back about a month later and added the x-pipe, and longer/bigger tips, not wider, and it made a good difference. Quieted the truck down a bit, the decel pops have decreased, and the tone is lower, it sounds better for my tastes. It's still very loud and annoys my wife, but I love it!

If I had it to do over again, I'd probably choose bigger mufflers, but at this point I love it.

Adding a torqstorm supercharger in a week or two, I'll let you know how it sounds after that!

So you're going to fab your own intercooler set up? What injectors are you going to use?

Have a treadstone TR1035 ready to go, it'll mount really nicely underneath the upper support arm right in front of the AC/Trans cooler. It comes with two stout mounting points with dual tapped large bolt holes, all I'll need is two angle brackets with holes drilled out and it should be too difficult to mount up. I have a 3" tubing kit ready from the amazon, and a new radiator overflow and windshield washer tanks ready to mount (the stock tanks have to be removed to get the intercooling piping mounted up). I have a DW400 pump ready to install and a set of injectors ready to go also. (Siemens_840_cc_min_80_lbs_hr). Waiting on the supercharger to show up then need to find a day or two to install it all. Been working with Jay Greene on the tune, have his cam in already (.5HL) and PCM/Trans tune. I'll probably start working on the fuel pump, relocating tanks and mounting up the intercooler shortly. Need to do the damn active grill shutter delete also, wish that could be removed with a tune. I'll take pics when it's all done. If anyone is interested I'll take pics of the exhaust setup I have now, it's pretty awesome.

If you completely remove the shutters and leave the motor plugged in and tie wrap it out of the way, any code can be tuned out with a custom tune.

Cool. I'll email Jay and see if I can get an update. One thing I've noticed when I had an AGS CEL when I disconnected it before and it keeps the truck from getting into economy mode, knocked about 2 mpg off.

Post a video of you actually revving the motor, not just a useless cold start video that just shows the mufflers at idle. I am looking at either the borla XR1 mufflers and flowmaster to replace my raspy 14" magnaflow that sounds like complete ass with my JBA long tubes and off road Y pipe.

The truck wasn't all they way warmed up, it's usually a little less raspy when it's up to operating temp and things have expanded.

I had the same muffler. I had long tubes and no cats and y pipe. Super raspy. Added an x pipe and 2 vodka pro xs. No rasp at all. Like gone completely. Still just as loud after muffler break.
