do not put atf in your fuel it isn't made to run through injectors.
Modern engines are a lot different. Smaller injectors than the old TBI's, hell I wouldn't even run it through a TBI maybe a carb if I knew it was gummed up and didn't have time to take it apart and clean it right. Just look at your truck, is it worth the price to fix other problems down the road that come up from putting something in your fuel that isn't supposed to be there? I don't know many 19 year olds that can afford a grand for new cats or the same for new injectors and I don't wanna play off your age but just look at bigger picture.

Early 90's fuel injection systems (Ferd) would go air bound in hi temps. A small amount of ATF (< 4oz) in the fuel tank kept the gas (or gas & alcohol) from flashing to vapor and binding up the injection system. '00 and newer systems do not vapor lock so ATF in the fuel would just cause varnishing of your exahsut valves or worse, Cat overheating and accelerated aging.I think you are better informed now but I know some people use ATF in diesel fuel to help lubricate injectors. Gas engines work totally different and do not have near the fuel pressure to squirt the ATF mixture through injectors. You do not want ATF in your gas...at all.
