So, my 2015 sport came with the automatic high beams. They work ok, but I cant stand when I get near a street light or some other slightly brighter area and they turn off with no other cars coming in the other direction. It then takes couple seconds before the brights come back on to light up the dark roadway

Does anybody know where the high beam sensors are and if I can put something over them to make them less responsive?

I used to put a piece of scotch tape ( not the clear, but the hazy semi clear style ) over the flash on a camera i had to drown out the flash a little when i took certain kinds of pictures. I was thinking about trying something like this for the high beam sensors....

I still want them to work, just not as responsive as they are

I believe the sensor is behind the rear view mirror. i also was annoyed with the false oncoming traffic and then the delay to turn back on. i ended up disabling the auto featuew and using it the old fashion way

Such a rough life, having to manually turn on and off the brights.. lol. I doubt it would work right, but it doesn't hurt to try

I have the auto high beams on mine as well. I remember when I bought it, the salesman told me that if I drove a lot in town, or lived in the city, it would be too annoying to use the auto feature.

I live in a very rural area, so it works great for me, I just switch it off when I do get into town. Usually don't need the high beams in town anyway. :)

Added low and fog HID's to my '14 Sport, barely ever need the high's. :D

But yeah, from what I noticed and have read about lighting in general; leaving the high's on when passing reflective material, even in snow, the high beam light that reflects back at you, actually diminishes your vision more than if only the low beams were on. As for them taking an extra second to kick back on, that must be a personal preference thing. I've noticed it, and it doesn't bother me at all.
