RDS sells a install kit that uses a small roll-over check valve to keep fuel from overfilling the main tank. There is no need according to RDS to add any vent lines back to the main tank.

I agree there is no need to add additional venting to the OEM tank. I cut the OEM vent line, put in a tee and vented the Aux tank's vent line to the tee. Now any fumes or vapors get routed into the OEM vent system.RDS sells a install kit that uses a small roll-over check valve to keep fuel from overfilling the main tank. Transfer pumps are easy to find , and not that expensive. I used one for years on my '05 duramax when towing. It gave me a total of 110gal on the road. On it I used a top mounted pump. I now have 2019 Limited with the small tank, so will be mounting a custom built tank from KSH Fuel Products. With my cover and fifth wheel setup I can only add about 25gal, but hey thats another 250 miles when towing.I read one of the reviews state it’s illegal to use gravity feed from the aux tank. Is this true? I imagine the danger of fuel leaking from the feed line from the aux tank to the main tank is the reason...safety. Using a transfer pump wouldn’t be difficult to install, or would it?
Some states have laws against it for gas, but not for dieselCommercial use has different regulations than personal private use. I'm not a lawyer so I can't speak to the legal ramifications. I have never seen the regulation prohibiting gravity feed to the OEM tank.

If my math is correct, I figure the weight of a full tank of gas plus the weight of the tank itself is about 500 lbs. Tank dimensions are 56" x 13". Ribs and valleys of liner are roughly 1/2" each. Pressure of tank on liner is about 5 1/2 lbs/sq. in. I doubt that is anything to worry about. I certainly won't.I as just wondering if the liner will stand the weight of a full tank on it with out crushing the ribs?
Yep, for example:
I know of a case where an F350 Ford, pulling a triple axle toy hauler were overloaded and too fast, jackknifed on a downhill, rolled over, total loss, serious injuries to all. The insurance company declared they were overloaded and walked away. Poor souls lost it all, were sued, were cited, hospital bills, etc - a sad story.
Are you saying or meaning it's a credibility challenge?
Or people are busy. No one on here knows you from Adam, nor does anyone owe you anything. You made a pretty large claim and all they asked was for a link to read the full story.
