Anyone else having issues getting OEM ram parts for your trucks. Bought a used 2014 ram 2500 in feb 2019. Abs light/trac light tripped 5 miles after pulling off the lot. Dealer has replaced every component from the right rear wheel speed sensor all the way to the abs control module which is what I am waiting on now, but every time they diagnose a problem (just kept moving farther up the line to abs control module) the part is on back order and I have to wait a month or more before the part comes in. Hence why it has taken 20 months to work the way up to the abs control module. Just extremely frustrated since its at a ram dealer to be repaired and have a vehicle that is basically useless to me with no abs, no traction control and 4wd being disable because of this. Just find it crazy that I have to wait so long for every OEM part I need on this truck.

There is a wire bundle under your driver side door on the outside frame rail sometimes all It takes is disconnecting and reconnecting the connector to make it work again. Check for corroded pins or pushed back pins when you pull the connector apart. If that don't work get a multi meter and some wire and see if it ohms out, if the wires don't you have a broken wire and need to fix or replace that length of wire.

I mentioned this connector to the dealer one of the first trips it made back there. I bought the extended warranty on this vehicle so I have really just been letting the dealership mess with it and diagnose all of it on their dime. Is this connector the one directly behind the driver front wheel?

I apologize for the frustration! Please do not hesitate to send us a private message for further support as you work with your dealer. We are more than willing to escalate a case on your behalf to a specialist who can work alongside you and your dealer to try and get the parts there as soon as possible.

Well the way mopar parts does distribution is kinda screwy.the part you need is almost for sure in inventory at another dealer somewhere.but unlike Ford or gm they are either not able to see inventory from other part departments or fca won't let them get parts from dealer to dealer.one part on backorder and no one has it maybe but alot of parts unlikely.i know a forum member who waited a month on a diesel part but I found 10 instock at other dealers.on fords parts website you can view inventory from any dealer within like a 200 mile radius of a zip code.the back seat belt was cut on my 15 when I got it.the dealer said it was on backorder.i had one myself at the house in 3 days.they called 2 weeks later to tell me to bring the truck in I said for what they said the seat belt came in.i told them I got one and installed it myself three days after I talked to them the first time.and no they would not reimburse me or let me have the seatbelt they ordered.

Dealers are absolutely able to see if other dealers have a part. FCA doesn’t care if dealer A gets parts from dealer B. Where issues arise is if Dealer B has said part but it’s for a customer so they won’t give it up. Or it’s a hard to get part that they don’t want to sell to another dealer.

Not all dealers get along with each other either.

From what the dealer told me there are 18 dealers across the country that currently have this abs control module in stock, but that they are all allocated for customers at this current time so I have to wait on Chrysler to source one or make one for me. Going on week 3 now but have a ram cares case number now and a specialist working with me providing weekly updates.

Yes it's right behind the wheel. It gets beat with rocks if the clips arent holding it up properly.

I tried to wiggle that one apart but couldn't get it to budge and didn't want to break it since it looked like it had a lot of wires running through it. Plus there wasn't much room to reach it without taking out the whole inner fender liner. Seems like a small piece of plastic casted into that fender liner could have prevented so much carp from getting up around it. Another one of chrysler (rams) great idea to put an electrical connection in the line of fire from so much water and road debris.

In response to one of your earlier replies the dealership ohmed out the wiring and found a supposed break/rodent damage above the fuel tank so they spliced in or replaced that section of wire that fix worked for about two months.

Goda love designers and engineers. Worst vehicle to ever work on... Chrysler intrepid.

After 20 months I would pull the fender liner and clean the connector and wiring. It's only time and a little contact cleaner. Be sure to make sure none of the pins have backed out. Just because they ohm out does NOT mean they will pass the required current for the needed application they support if there is corrosion there.
