In the early years of the 3rd gen what exactly is the battery guage reading? Battery volts or alternator current?
I was driving hone from work and it hit the low side and stayed there. Drove another 15 miles like that and truck never died on me and turned on right away when I turned it off, no hesitation. I believe the battery is less than 2 years old so I would assume alternator but I don't believe a bettery would support my truck and sound system for 15 miles without the alternator.
