I installed the oem bed light kit. I've also the oem switch. I got the lights working, does any one know how to get the switch to work? I found another connector next to the light connector that it will plug into. Is there anything else I need to do?

Thanks for the help!

Everything should be plug and play. Then you have to get the dealer to open the sales code in the computer.

Or us the Alpha to do so.

I did use alpha and they do work with the cargo light, what I'm trying to do is to get them to work with the oem bed switch as well.

On my truck the two wires for the cargo switch were tapped up and capped with heat shrink. They were on the drivers side harness going toward the bed light connector. I was able to buy a connector online so it would look factory and allow easy bed removal if needed.

I had the sales code added before I had alfaOBD and once connected it worked with no issues.

Sorry guys. Busy weekend.

As chris61530 stated, look for the Mopar Bed Lighting kit.

I believe 2016 and up already have the mounting holes for them in the bed as well as the wiring harness plug in's around the taillight area under the bed.

When the sales code is activated they will light up along with the white cargo lamp bed lights activated by the factory cargo lamp button.

No switch needed If you don't want it from what I understand. Should operate by the factory cargo light switch and work in conjunction with the cargo lamp third brake light.

Also to be clear, I've only researched these and I do not have them yet. I'll be pulling the trigger soon however I can not speak from experience.

That's correct it works with the cargo lamp switch, I'm trying to get the bed mounted switch to work as well.

Damn, I would think there is something in alpha other than what you’ve already done. I’ll try to scroll through and see if I find anything, can you post what you changed so far?

@1500ram12 and @Jimmy07 are pretty good with alpha, maybe they may have an idea.

The only thing I saw in alpha that pertained to the bed lights was "truck bed lightning feature=yes"

I do remember one other guy trying to get the switch to work- @SRich2015. The highest year the alfa *actually* supports is 2017. That switch circuit (L26 on the C6/F BCM connector) didn’t exist on 2017, so there’s nothing there for the alfa to enable.
