Im debating between the two. I have a dog that will occasionally ride in the back is the only reason I am doubting the rug. Thoughts????

Had a bedrug in my last truck and loved it. Now I have spray in and immediately had to get a bed mat so things don't slide around. Only downfall was if loading firewood I would put down a cheap tarp so the wood would not get caught in the fibers. I don't think a dog would hurt the bedrug unless the dog chews and tears stuff up :)

Do the bed rugs get moldy if not covered? Things do not slide much at all on my spray in bedliner. It came with the truck so there was no debate for me.

If you go spray in, take a look at LINE-X Premium.

Things dont slide on my LINE-X. I would imagine your dog would appreciate a bed rug more than spray liner due to the padding.

Bedrug, I spilled motor oil on it and it cleaned right up. On my second truck with a Bedrug, to me, only way from now on.

I'd go with spray in any time. I even had it over the rails on my last truck- loved it. not done it yet on my new truck but I'm saving money for it already.
nothing slides, no scratches, and it's easy to clean. the only problem with a dog I see- I don't know how hot it gets where you live- but here the black bed heats up pretty good and if you put a dog in it, oh boy. My lab hates the bed. I gave up and let him sit on the rear bench with vinyl seat cover on it. If you want the dog in the bed, give him a old piece of carpet to lay on. That's what I had- but well- never got that far, that my dog used it.

Good point, I think your dog will dictate the action here!

I'm on my 4th truck with a Bedrug now, and I couldnt be happier. Cleans up easy, nothing slides, its softer for my dog and my son to stand in while at the beach, and looks great as well.

I agree with another vote for BedRug. Was the first thing I put in current truck and had one in last truck. Dog will love you for it. The carpet is not a cloth fabric, but actually a plastic like AstroTurf (but softer) so no mold concerns. I just take my truck to the self service car wash and spray it (while in the bed) with the high pressure wand. It also does a great job of keeping stuff from sliding around.

can't vote for anything other than a spray in since it's all I've ever used, bedrug looks interesting just afraid it might get torn up over time!

The Bed rug gets my vote as well. The velcro sticks really well to their product and a clean truck bed.

I have read several accounts that the Velcro adheres well long as the coating is clean.

yup, have to rub the whole back down with alcohol, but yup, agree, if its clean it might stick.

I have both. The velcro adhesive sticks fine as long as the surface is clean, dry and warm. Use the cleaning pad that comes with the kit. It might even stick better to a sprayed liner as there is more surface area.

Anyhow, 3 years now and no issues.
