I installed a 3.5" leveling kit (donuts) on my 2017 RAM 1500 4X4. The ride quality was so bad I took it off. I would like to lift the truck 4"-5" and I'm looking for recommendations for kits that will produce a near factory ride quality and not introduce vibration issues. I prefer to stick with suspension lifts only.

2WD or 4wd? If 2WD, Maxtrac or CST fit the bill, if 4WD, Zone, BDS, or RC all will suffice. There’s a world of choices out there you just gotta get to browsing!

Like Ihemiman said 4x4 I believe the order of best to worst is bds, zone, rough country. I have a zone 4” and the ride quality is great.

Zone 4" with 3" rear springs, and Bilsteins up front set at 1.4" ...2b38d3407c90cca0effbb8b683da9daf.jpgLooks great with 35's and will fit in a standard 7' garage door and most parking decks ... Ride is better than factory

Zone or bds depending on what you can afford. Here is my zone 6/5 lift but also have bils set at 2.1 with 37" tiresSnapchat-1640335822.jpg 20180607_175259.jpg

I found another thread of a guy talking about vibration issues after installing a Zone 4" kit. Have you had any vibration issues?

Nope I haven’t. I had bad vibration just recently but it was due to my tire having a bad band. New tires and vibration is gone.

I've got the 4" Superlift kit and am very happy with it. You wouldn't go wrong with BDS or Zone either.

Im also currently looking at a zone 4inch lift. Are you replacing the front strut spacer with bilsteins instead. I am having trouble understanding the "Bilstein talk." Also is did anyone upgrade to the heavy duty control arms option?

No, the 4" spacer with the kit, and the Bils at 1.4" gives you 5.4" in the front ... 3" rear spring, plus a couple inches of rake, gives you a level stance

Buy the BDS 6” kit with 3” rear coils. The front struts use a 5/8” preload spacer along with the 5” tophat strut spacer. Just don’t install the preload spacer and leave your struts as-is for an approx 5” front lift. This will leave you a small rake and save you the $200 Bilstein cost and labor of disassembling the struts. The 6” kit will also give you front stainless braided brake hoses. If you don’t care about the brake hoses get the Zone 6”

Is the 6/5 lift 6" on front? Does the Bilstein add to that?
They make a 6/3 and a 6/5. The 6/3 Will level your truck while the 6/5 Will leave it with the factory rake unless you use bilstein shocks with it. I have mine at 2.1 so have about 8in front lift and 5in rear lift

ffa281eec8e37e5ef0b695d9a505f387.jpg I have a 6 in procomp lift running the common 37’s and it rides honestly like a regular stock truck would besides the tire noise but that can be bypassed with at tread
