Whats the best all terrain tire size to get with 3.92 gears crew cab?

Currently have the stock 33s and it kind of feels like they're too small for the gears

Would like the aesthetics of a bigger and meatier tire, but don't want it to impact mpg too much

Increase the tire size and add an agressive tread, there is not way not affect the mpg.

I plan to upgrade to a true 35 inch tall commercial or mild mud terrain tire when these SR-As wear out.

I like the STTs, have heard great reviews....also liked my dutatracs, just gotta find out how loud they get on our trucks.

35’s are no problem at all with 3.92’s. Biggest impact to MPG’s are the tires weight and resistance from the tread pattern, not the height. You will see a drop no doubt, heck, just swap the stock Goodyear’s for an aggressive tire in the same size and you’ll see a dip.

Tire size will depend on whether you level, lift, or the truck remains stock ... Stock wheels, spacers, or new wheels with different offset will determine width options ... You have a ton of choices to figure out

Wouldn't you expect mpg to increase on highway driving with increased size? Local driving You will probably lose + the extra weight factor. My engine runs around 2000 rpm at 70 mph where a 3.21 diff would be closer to 1500 rpm.

There will be more rolling resistance due to tread, so I imagine sny gains from lower RPM, will be negated fairly closely, for a net effect overall (city/hwy) of lower MPG.

No matter what a heavier tire will lower mpg. Add that with a higher friction tread pattern and more loss. There is no way around it, unless you can get a 35 inch tall motorcycle tire to fit.

Im running 35 in tires on my truck and they are heavier and they affected my mpg right now i get on a good day 10mpg lowest ive seen is 8.7 mpg avg. I weighted the tires they were about 87 pounds now multiply that by 5 is 435 pounds just on the tires itself

I'm thinking of going with 305/55/20s, id imagine they would rub on stock wheels. What size offset for 20x9 aftermarket wheels would I need to not rub on turns with minimum tire sticking out of fenders (an inch or so)

I run 305/55/20 on my Ram with no rubbing issues (stock sport rims). I have air suspension and even in exit mode there is no rubbing. Tires are Amp A/T Pro (bfg a/t look alikes). Mpg did drop some but nothing crazy.
