I have not had a problem with my LED upgrade but many have as Diesel762 mentioned.

Some have put the halogen bulb back in the 3rd brake light (you have to press the brake to start) and have had success.

Others have used AlfaOBD to change the CHSML and interior lights to LED in the Body Control Module (BCM).

I didn't have the bed utility group in my truck and therefore didn't have pick-up box LED lighting. I installed one of these on each side where the factory lights would have been. Ebay purchase of something like $27 for the pair. Works like a charm. BTW, I screwed the bases in rather than velcro.

I'm liking the concept of these Chrome Flush Fit Retractable Tie Down Anchors from bullringusa.com. They fit in the stake pocket holes and retract when not in use. At $30 each, they're not bank breakers either. Has anyone tried them yet?

I considered them but was unsure of their strength since they are held in place with retainer clips instead of a solid mount.

They look good but I wasn't going to use them to tie anything down so I opted for a flush mount option (post #71 of this thread).

Just my .02

I went back and read your post and followed it back to the post #29 you referred to in it and lo and behold, jvander brought them up in post #30 and RamConvert82 responded in post #54. I guess I should read more thoroughly before asking questions.

I was actually looking for stake hole covers when I ran across these. I thought these tie downs might give me some flexibility in securing loads. BTW, they're supposedly rated at 1000 lbs. and have a lifetime warranty.

I'm not a fan of those holes either. I don't understand why the front ones are covered by the molding and not the rear ones.

You got me thinking so I went outside and checked my truck. The bottom of the stake holes is completely open. So, these might actually act as a water intrusion deterrence. Not as good a deterrence as the covers brian42 went with though.

I cant recommend these. The look and fit are great but much too soft. My drivers side wore a hole thru it from my heel in a few months. I since switched to smartliners. Lifetime guarantee very durable and less than Weathertech.

Not really a mod per say but nice to have with garage parking - thick foam bumpers. This new truck got shoved in the garage so now it is pretty tight... but with these I can open my doors into them and not worry about damage. 4 pack - $24.99 - Amazon

Pool Noodles cut in half and glued or nailed to walls works pretty good for this issue.

phone 3.jpeg Decided to add a new phone mount to my sliding console tray. Mount was easy using self tap screws with double stick tape to hold in place.
Tray slides all the way forward and back with no obstruction. Total cost below $58.00 both items from Amazon. ILM Motorcycle mount $19.99 the other is a Ran universal double ball mount $35.44. Phone is an I phone 6 plus fits it nice. and is adjustable.
