I recently (almost a month now) purchased a new to me 2011 Ram 1500 Crew Cab SLT, after owning a few vehicles after having to say goodbye to my 1996 Ram 2500.
After reading all 241 pages I have a few new ideas and came to realize that this is an expensive thread.
  • I have already replaced the halogen H13 bulbs with Led replacements ($39.99).
  • Installed two (will be more) small amber led pods in the grill ($15.00)
  • Installed an Led floodlight behind the grill (free as I had it from my chevy), I do plan to add another.
  • Installed low profile stake pocket anchors in the two open pockets (free as I already owned them).
  • Mounted my CB antenna to the driver's side stake pocket behind the cab ($18.49 for the mount).

I have planned
  • Cabin air filter
  • tailgate assist
  • Led floodlight pods for reverse lights
  • bed mat
  • Led bed lights
I also have a mod planned for this Wednesday that is over $100, as I am planning to replace the stock base radio with a touch screen radio with GPS and install a backup camera that replaces the tailgate handle all for $445

I have to add to my list as today I purchased a set of running boards for $100 through the Facebook marketplace. I will be mounting them tomorrow morning.

Go to carid.com and check out the Remin dash kits.
They have lots of colors & finishes. I have the African Zebrawood and it's top notch quality.
Will check it out. Thanks!

I installed the running boards today. Seeing as they were originally off of a Crew cab Silverado they are a few inches shorter than usual. Also, they needed some modifications to their mounts.

Looks sharp! I got a kit of 8 LEDs I want to mount in the bed.
I am going to stretch out the last 2 LEDs and mount them inside my toolbox so I can see in there at night.

My truck came stock with the satin finish trim. Maybe you meant to quote other member?

Found these and they are pretty heavy duty:

$15 for a 2-pack
https://www.amazon.com/Kolpin-21571-Black-Rhino-Grip/dp/B07GDHGH7Y

Super easy to mount, heavy duty, and won’t come unlatched with rough driving. I used it to hold a 3/8-50’ rubber air hose for my onboard compressor with the quick connect in the lower corner. Out of the way of cargo too. Only needed 2x 1/4” stainless bolts. On the largest setting, it is 3” in diameter so it could hold a small extinguisher. Wish I found these 6 yrs ago!

wonder how that would hold an AR tucked in a strategic place.

and your link is broken: https://www.amazon.com/Kolpin-21571-Black-Rhino-Grip/dp/B07GDHGH7Y

Gotta have toolbox lights at oh dark thirty!!

2 LEDGlow 12" strips (29.99) in toolbox and 2 60" mictuning bed light strips (23.99) wired to a full time hot switch mounted on inside lip of toolbox.
I installed a 4 wire #12 electrical S/O cord inside frame from engine bay to front of bed then to rear of bed for bed/toolbox lights and rear lights and future add ons.

Thanks for the proper one. I think I didn’t properly paste it but it’s fixed now. I’d love to see an AR mounted!
They work perfectly around the buffer tube and thinner hand guards. The exposed portion of the barrel also works

Got my door pillars done in gloss black tonight. Son did it for free.View attachment 218764

Looks good! I just had mine re-done because the mopar stuff was so badly deteriorated.

Miss doing stuff like that for my old man. Enjoy those times! I’m sure your son does!
