I found a trans dapt 1127 on eBay as a customer return for $50. There is a great thread in 4th gen diy, how to remote oil filter. Lots of great info on different kits, installs, customs. If you want to do this, that thread is a huge help.

Oil filter relocation and ez drain valve. Total $89.90 $53 for the kit, $24 for valve, $12.50 for filter, hose clamps and thread seal.

I like the oil filter relocation but why didn’t you make changing it easier by mounting with the filter UP so oil drains out upon shutting off the engine/opening the drain valve?

Also, you’ll find the a nopales on the drain valve goes a long way to avoid drips. Install a nipple then when draining simply place a plastic tube on the nipple and drain into a container. No drips. Easy Peasy!

The filter is horizontal, picture changed orientation when uploaded, and it’s above the drain plug placement. Not seen one in an upside down vertical position. I went for the horizontal for less mess, oil will run straight down and out of the filter, not all over the filter as in traditional placement. Not sure what up would do as hoses run upstream and after draining I don’t think the oil from the filter would go anywhere. One can orient the filter for whatever gives that warm and fuzzy feeling, that was mine. As far as tubes and nipples and such on the valve, been running ez valve/fumoto for many years on many vehicles. Just an extra step. I have a rectangular drain pain and placed right no drips on the driveway or garage floor. Open, drain, do light maintenance, close the valve, wipe, and done. Seems pretty easy.

Glad you’re happy with your setup but NOTHING is as easy as placing a drain tube in a container!

Bought this for another project and decided to use it in the door sills since I had a lot left over (still do too)...

Worked great for both projects. I hit it with a heat gun after application to help the glue out.

What is your reason for grip tape on your rifle? Wet weather hunting?

Sure, it also helps with bayonetting and butt-stroking...

“Butt-Stroking”? Is that like pistol whipping with a rifle? If so, I like it!

I know this is in the 4th gen section. But i just bought some of this stuff from Amazon to put on my 5th gen powerwagon. Only difference is they are cut to size. so they fit really nice.

I also found out they will be a great investment. Because when i got to the passenger side front.. i got to see for the first time all the scuff marks my 5'2" wife leaves from her vans everytime she jumps out.... ******.. lol
