Ok so i've had bils 5100's on the front of my last truck and loved it. But for the guys that run them on all 4 corners, do you notice a huge difference on the ride or is it not much different then the stock?

I only have a 2011 but once I added the rears, in my opinion it seems more planted. Don't get me wrong, mine still drives like a truck but I don't cringe when I'm going over deep ruts. Is it worth the added cost and time to install, to me only if you needed new rear shocks.

I just installed them this past weekend after spending several weeks reading on this forum and others. I like the ride much better with all 4 Bilsteins. I only lifted my front end 1.4" so far, but really like it overall.

I have it on all 4 on my 2012 ram, and I like the feel alot. Expecially when cornering...it takes away alot more of the bed roll, and more solid all around when going through bumps.

The downside from what I have seen is that it it removes that "cloud float feeling" in like you feel all of the small bumps and it bounces just a little more.

Overall. I like it.

Stock shocks are always crappy. I wouldn't be surprised if they were blown within the first thousand miles. When I installed Fox 2.0 on my last Ram, the bed was less bouncy. It wasn't overly firm but just right.

You can't go wrong with Bilstein. You will notice improved ride quality on and off the road.

All parts needed?

Ok guys need your help. So I wanna level my 12 ram 1500 quad cab st. After plenty of research, it seems like bil's 5100 is the way to go (over spacers). Now, what all do I need for the project?? Do I need to replace the springs if I add the 5100?? What about control arms? I wanna do it right from the start and not cut corners, even if that means saving up the boot to buy all that I need. Let me know what to do.. If you have parts lists/numbers, pictures, recommendations or anything at all will help I greatly appreciate it!! Thanks guys!!

You're good to go with just the Bils, no extra stuff needed.
If you're in the US I think guys have been getting the best price from Jet.com.
As for anything else (lots of pics included) there's a huge thread on here. Will you be installing them yourself?

Yes, I do plan on doing this myself (only to save cost). I will have my father in law there to help as well..

If I can offer an alternative suggestion for your rears, I'd recommend adding a good quality pair of air springs to your rear end first and then decide, simply because those add an actual purpose on top of a nicer ride because you can raise your rear end if you're towing/hauling a heavy load which is important when your front end is leveled. My level is 2.8" and I run about 10 psi in the rear when I'm just daily driving empty but I can say they make the ride nicer but I don't have those flimsy ones that go inside the springs, mine are independent of the springs/shocks. Downside is a heavy duty set will run you about $600

Alright, it's pretty straight forward. My main advice would be to make sure you put the washer for the Bils underneath the upper strut mount and not directly underneath the nut. There are pics of what I'm talking about in that other thread.
