So I'm about to get a Billet Tech Catch Can. I read somewhere that having the can mounted with the Z bracket has the can sitting too low, causing the can to not perform as efficiently as it should. This is as opposed to the fender mounted option where it is higher up. What are your guys thoughts on this? Is fender mounted even an option for my 2013? Thanks

Nobody makes a fender mount for the Ram trucks. The Z bracket included with the Billet Tech kit is perfect. It works flawlessly.

A #-4" piece of flat stock bent at 90* with three holes drilled will aloow you to bolt it to the back of the rad. If you get imaginative there are numerous options.
Mine is higher than the BT can mounts but I have yet to drain ut until I change the oil in the next couple of nights. Duh duh duh!

One of the benefits listed for this product is increase in fuel economy. Have you noticed that at all?

Well I can't attribute one thing to increased economy but since I've done my Vararam, ported tb, exhaust and the catch can I'm getting about 6L/100km better on average... This of course is along side breaking in the truck and better fuels cause of summer

I think I would be afraid of my can sitting any higher, hitting a speed bump or any hard turns letting oil down the wrong tube and into the into chamber vs letting gravity work the oil back down into the can.

Got my can installed yesterday. Install went smoothly. About how many miles before I will see something at the bottom?

I checked mine for the frist time at 2500 and the can was 3/4 full, seems like alot.
I change the oil every 5,000 on amsoil, 17,000 on truck

I checked mine 3,100km after installing it, during my routine oil change.
I have 3' of hose off the bottom of the can to a 2nd ball valve so there is more lining the sides etc, and I still collected this; between 1/4 and 1/3 cup. Yuck!

So this goes in between the breather hose that goes from the top of the intake to the air filter housing?

Not quite. PCV on back of the engine passenger side to just below throttle body.

I did, after I installed mine I get on average 1-2 MPG more than I used too... Truck seems to run a little better but that could be just me...

Like casper said, it replaces the PCV line on the passenger side of the motor that goes from the back of the intake manifold to just under the throttle body. The Billet Tech kit comes with a Ram specific mounting bracket and bolt that will mount to an existing drilled and tapped hold that is already on the front passenger side of your engine block.
